Is this a good price for F1's ?
Do they have the 'e' mark? Can you ask if they are from S.Africa as some people have suggested.
I've been to Goodyear S.Africa website and they don't appear to have the latest GSD3 model, but all the others are imported in.

Whilst I appreciate that it's a free country and all that and you have the obvious advantage of being fairly close to Crossroads, without this descending into a playground-type arguement, it's not really going to help all of the rest of us who've been waiting 6-8 weeks or more if you go and buy another set of 4 tyres. I noticed someone else up the thread saying they are going to buy another 8 and the comment applies likewise.
Could you not give the guy a chance to try and sort out the mess and honour the orders?

Still waiting for mine 215/40/17 (having already paid and not received a refund). David tells me they a day too collect but never gets back too me/or has them, most frustrating as i only live down the road from him.

M1cassells,
I can do what I like, and besides, I ordered 8 of the bl**dy things in the first place, and he onl;y had four there on friday, so I'm having to make another trip!!!!
And it ain't that close, it's 160 mile round trip!!!
So, take the cost of the fuel, the cost of a day, work it out, and I wouldn't be savuing that much, if it weren't for the fact that I'm not working at the moment, it'd be almost cheaper to go down the road here and get them.
I don't like being moaned at, it ain't right, I ordered 8 tyres way back, all I'm doing is getting what I'm owed!!!!!!!

Sorry Ron, not trying to moan just getting frustrated like you I guess. Your prev post didn't say you'd ordered 8. You can see how it looks to those who definitely can't get there (800 mile round trip) when you see that some just appear to be "stocking up".

Correct! no call yesterday, and strangely enough i am having trouble contacting David today! May have to go and see him whilst on my lunch break one thinks. If he would just say i will/will not have tyres on a certain day that would be fine so i can sort another supplier out.
Also what pressures would anyone advise for 215/40/17?
Alan.

Silly fool hat on
Is there any type of marking on the Eagle F1 that distinguishes between a GD-D2 and GS-D3. Just got a set of 4 Eagle F1’s (15inch) for 50quid each excl vat and was told they were GS-D3 but looking at a picture of a 17inch GS-D3 the pattern doesn’t match so I am suspecting that I was sold GS-D2’s rather than GS-D3’s. Hmmmmmm
Still a lovely stick tyre though

well i have tried all week to get him. i did get one txt message on monday from him saying ring him tuesday....i did and wednesday and today. All i get is an answering machine.Beginning to get pretty fed up by his lack of response. Will we ever get our tyres delivered i wonder its been nearly 2 mths now.
went down there today, basically to get a refund as i hadnt heard anything from him since last week when i requested it, he had a handful of envelopes that he was about to send out with refunds, mine was one of them but he didnt have my address which was why i hadn't received it yet, just dissapointing really, seems like a genuine guy just bitten off more than he can handle.

Ron - Have you figured out the ideal pressures yet? Went for the first real blat today. Like you say, they feel a little soft in the sidewall, more confidence sapping than inspiring at the mo. They'll take a bit of getting used to after the stiff bridgestones. I'll try increasing the psi up front tomorrow (currently on 32 front, 30 rear on 205/50/16)

Any updates from anyone. I still can't get through. Am starting to give up hope, but will keep trying until I have to buy else where. Tread disappering fast though so it won't be long!

I must have tried about 50 times or more last week, gave up on friday, i got 4 tyres, getting another 4 just isn't worth the aggro any more, mind you, when I need more tyres, i'll ring him first to see if he's got any!
As you may know, I gave up on Crossroad Garage a week or so ago and went elsewhere. I was desperate for tyres at the time and couldn't wait any longer, so I had no other choice.
Anyway, if you're not desperate for new treads, the deal from Crossroad Garage is well worth the wait - the F1 GS-D3's are amazing tyres. Way different to anything else I've driven on in the past 16 years. You need to get used to them (softish sidewall), but once you get your head round it, there's nothing better. I'm SERIOUSLY impressed. Even at almost £400 for four(fitted), they're worth it.
