Is it the right Option Kit for that model of Stinkpad, sorry, Thinkpad? Is there an IBM part code on the box?

Crucial reckon you need "SDRAM, PC100 • CL=2 • Non-parity •"

They also say it supports a max of 256MB, so could explain the problems with running 256+64MB.

On the box it says "33L3069 Non Parity SODiMM memory upgrade 256MB PC100 CL3 NP SDRAM SODIMM"

There is a disk supplied that says "only for the TP 600 E series"

I'm assuming it's ok to use with A21m ?

Tried using just the 256 MB stick, and it can't be the memory needs to be in pairs, as the original 64 MB is one stick

Phill

PS Pissed right off!!

33L3069 should work with the A21m

http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/conf...KTM-TP390X/256

Click Search to see the list of systems and it's listed.

What's interesting is that Kingston reckon max RAM is 512MB.

I'd suspect a faulty DIMM...

Bollox!!! That's not what I wanted to hear, thought I was going mad for a minute. Nothing seemed logical other than faulty memory and I was assured it was brand new!!

Thanks Phill

PS Rob, do you fancy doing a deal now ?

PS I understand that I can buy new, but why when second hand is normally fine!!
