I used to get close to 170 mph out of my racer some years ago, never seemed to notice it so much on the track. Once saw close to 190 on my ZX12R-that did feel fast, even allowing for an optimistic speedo.(on an old runway!)

I know it's not big and it certainly isn't clever, but
153 ( indicated ) MY99 with Afterburner Back Box + K&N panel filter. Probably nearer 145.

I'll be watching very carefully for hypocrites, the next time someone here flames a speeder for doing silly speeds on the public highway.

I'm not saying that I agree or dis-agree or that I have sped myself, I'm just trying to make the point that many on SN, have at some time or other, tried to max out their cars on the public highway. Many have survived to tell the tale and maybe learnt something too.

183mph in my 3door cossie at bruntingthorpe..speed was recorded
with datron timing equipment

if the speedo wasnt on the stop and had numbers right round
it would have been reading something like 200+mph!

it was interesting to see how far out the sppedo was compared
to the datron equipment
cheers

136mph (me driving, Volvo T4).

130-ish (in 1982, Suzi GSX1100)

But nothing has ever felt as fast as the unknown speed I was doing on a tuned Puch Maxi moped a mate and me had when we were 15. The speedo was off the top of the dial (45mph!!!!) before it seized solid . I've never felt so unsafe on / in any machine since.

omg ***** of steel !

Fastest I've been was about 165 in mum's 500SL. She's a bigger throttle-jockey than me !
As a driver I wrung out our Saff Cossie 4x4 to an indicated 160.
After 150mph you enter the twilight zone ..

130mph in my Scoob, went over a small dip on my private road (must get that fixed!) which nearly put me of course.....decided to slow down then!!!

150mph on an airfield in an E55 AMG on a fast driving day, that was fast but felt very safe!!
