Knock Link Group Buy
Everyone who is on the list should order, if after the close of play today we have 10 people then they will be shipped in order of the list, for example, if 1-7 and 9-10 have ordered and 8 hasnt then number 11 will get the next available unit.
Obviously if all 17 have ordered today then the first ten will be distributed.
Hope that makes sense, i've got it straight in my head but not sure if i've conveyed that.

Those who havent ordered should do so between 4:30 and 6:00 today (times have been changed slightly)
On: 0208-332 7534
I suggest that even if you're further down the list that you phone up with your details, there are some spaces left since some of the people in the 1-10 bracket havent phoned in yet. If they dont then you will take their place as we are keen to get the first batch done and dusted

Just mailed them to see what the problem was, might be my fault for not sending them an updated list, I have just done so.
Then again, you've been on the list from the start, did you say that you were number 9 stevebt?

To all it may concern!
First and foremost, thank you all for your custom and orders placed so far. Now that the first batch of KnockLink packages is being received (with more follow early next week), I would like to say a few words in order to ensure basic aspects of the installation have been observed as well as avoid unnecessary situations where product(s) may be inadvertently damaged due to any other reasons, but the actual malfunctioning of the product(s).
1) please read instructions with the KnockLink carefully as they happen to be quite good and clearly written
2) there are 2 wires for 12V feed (switched) - one to power the display and the other to power the sensor. There are also 2 ground wires - they end up in one which is common to the display and the sensor. At the sensor end of the loom there are black and brown wires (more on those in a moment).
3) there is a small trim potentiometer on the top of the KnockLink display which should be (unless already) turned fully clockwise (maximum sensitivity). In our experience after hundreds of KnockLinks have been installed, very rarely would the sensitivity need reducing; only if 1 or 2 bottom green lights happen to be visible most or all the time. If in doubt, please call us for advice.
4) we recommend the brown and black wire for the knock sensor to be pushed through the existing rubber grommet in the front passenger footwell, near the air conditioning pipes.
5) there is no particular polarity requirement for the knock sensor, but it is good practice to keep black wires as 'negative' (ground), so brown will become 'positive' on the sensor connector by default.
6) please do not viciously overtighten the knock sensor when fitting onto the engine block. Bear in mind the body is out of a particular type of plastic and the only the sleeve in the centre is out of metal. Tighten securely, but with feel.
7) as we all know, for as long as NO lights come up on the display, things are as they should be. Therefore, gently tap the knock sensor once installed with a spanner to test it all works and, depending on how "gentle" you may be lights will come up all the way to the top red.
8) although the installation is pretty straightforward, please make sure no short circuits or lack of grounding occur as this will damage at least the electronic circuit inside the KnockLink and possibly the sensor (microphone) as well. Also, make sure your ignition is OFF while installing.
As a company, we do not post on bulletin boards and I, personally, have stopped posting a long time ago. This post is a one-off contribution made to help and assist those who kindly purchased our products in this group buy. As there will be no further comments from BR Developments on this board with regard to any possible issues or assistance needed about the installation of the Knock Link and Knock Sensor, please do not hesitate to call our office on 0208-332 7534( and please DO leave a message if no one answers!) or email me on bb@brdevelopments.com and we will help as much as we possibly can. If in any doubt, contact us first and only then proceed with the install.
Many thanks and all the best
