STi8 - Removed gold 17"'s and replaced with Prodrive speedline 18"'s in the silver colour

Much better looking then gold IMHO

Have had gold 18"'s on previous cars. Just wanted something different for a change

Cool

Australian clubspec Evos
I beg to differ, but I have seen a standard clubspec Evo 5 in orange with SILVER wheels, I have also seen various clubspec Evo Imprezas with no gold wheels. I have a piccie of it and will post to show.

Couldn't agree more - Gold Wheels on cars are the automotive world's equivalent of Elizabeth Duke Jewellery!

As Gerald Rattner would say, "they are Crap"!

Leave them to the Clio Williams shopping trolley brigade.

As said somewhere else - gold wheels look tacky. I think they look really naff. Anthracite or silver any day!

Yep stay away from the gold wheels unless you have the best of the best impreza. They shouldnt be allowed on the standard cooking models .

im pretty new to the scene and i wish id read this thread two days ago! ive got a white 95 type RA which is pretty clean, it had some badly painted silver 17inch speedlines on,the original gold paint was visible through the paint so i opted to get the wheels refurbed. they were done yesterday, and yes i had them done back to the original gold, lots have people have commented on how much better they look, i do think they look well,

this is my first scoob, ive wanted one for years and to be honest i think gold wheels & imprezas go together no matter what year, colour, model your lucky enough to own,

is it not just a matter of personal taste?

NO sorry, YOU have bought a WHITE car AND reverted your wheels back to GOLD?????????? YOU, even if you don't know it yet, are a closet GAY!! No mistake!!

Why do you think the previous owner painted them SILVER!!!???

And all those mates who are saying they look nice, they wouldn't be the rest of the Village People would they??
