What is it with bugeye drivers?
Was just leaving a car park this weekend and noticed a MY02 wagon leaving just as I was.....the fellow AND his missus both waved with beaming smiles......
(Yes I did wave back)
Similarly saw a couple of Scoobs later that day in Milton Keynes....one STi8 and another A Blue Classic.....flashed and waved and they both looked at me like I was ravin mad
(...and I am
)
Don't think it really matters what model.....just the driver IMHO.

Hey Andy,
Hows it going? Aint been passed the old train station recently so wouldnt have seen me.
Blobster, I do agree to a point, Ive got an MY02 and wave but theres more new age non-wavers than there is in classics, mind you as was already said that could be non-enthusiasts buying them, or certainly those 'joining the party late'!!!
Cheers

Its got nothing to do with the style of the car. Its the person inside it that counts!
First of all, that person has to be sharp enough to see the wave in the first place. If your sharp enough to see a wave, the likelihood is that you have great driving vision and are probably one of these people who can see an accident about to happen before it happens
Secondly, if your sharp enough to see the wave, then you need to be a friendly type of person to reciprocate. A lot of people dont wave because they are scared to look silly when the person doesnt wave back.
The moral of the story:
Keep your eyes peeled and wave to every sooby owner wether you feel a pratt and it might bring the end to this thread!!!
