Thumbs up

Had a colleague at work come up to me today and tell that a mate of his has just bought RB5#002!

Naturally I've told my colleague to tell his mate to check out the RB5 owners website and get registered - hopefully he'll also post on here and introduce himself.

Phil

Forgot to mention that i should be getting my car back very soon with almost a complete new engine. Heads, complete block and ECU. They were accepting that it was the ECU that was allowing the engine to run to hot which is why the pistons were cracking/melting/shattering on all the last engines.

Its unreal how much the car has been at Subaru this year. I dont really mind that much as i'm kinda used to it now. I also had an appology from someone because they said i was propbably over revving the engine. Turns out the ECU was to blame and an appology to me was given! Felt quite nice to know that people were no longer looking at me with evil eyes!

I hope that when i get it back this time it will stay fixed. I'll run it in for 2000miles, take it real gentle for as long as possible.

New rear brakes fitted next week. A project that Ian Godney has been working on. My car will be the first to try them out. All i will say is that they are rather large! Watch this space

That's better.

Hello Phil. I know I want to and there's the problem, controlling it. I'm gonna keep away from the cosmetics and stick to the operational side. Next on the agenda is a brake upgrade and then a sports cat. I seem to remember your brakes making an impression on me, whats your set??

Mark.

Hi Mark - I've got the TSL 6-pot big brake kit. Superb is the only word that comes to mind - at a price that is this side of reasonable!
