Mark, you are comparing all the different types of one make for the World Championship, only.

I would say that the MK 2 escort is the best rally car to date, as its 25-30 years old and is still competitive in todays rally's

As for taron comparing a scoob to an old escort, APMSL, my 28 year old shed will hammer a P1 at everything, ON LOW BOOST

But its using 30 year old technology compared to 5 year old technology.....

Chris that was the last year ford backed the mk 2

 

A couple of observations:

1) Don't knock Escorts. I was at a trackday at Donington in Feb, and the only thing coming past me (and all the Scoobs, I might add) was a pair of Mk11 Escorts on slicks.

2) Ooh look at the top of the Greatest Rally Car of All Time list. Do I see the Mighty Grale? I think I do.

3) There are some adolescent tw*ts on here.
