I'm waiting for someone to admit to hugging the car like that bloke on the Eurostar advert
My GF is sick and tired of the last photos on every camera being the Scoob. "Just using up the film dear"

I've done the lock thing - secret is to check its locked even though you've just activated it because then you rememeber you've 'checked' !!
Hmmm, the amount of times I've unlocked my Scoob through the garage window...
Friendly pats - I have been known to mutter the words 'You have been Imprezered' having just pulled off a stunning overtaking manouvre, then patting the dash!! How sad is that?! G/F laughs her rocks off at me.

Always look back and spend far too long long gazing out of windows at it.
Just got back from a week skiing and must admit I did give it a pat and asked how it was.
This is quite terrible.

don't have a scoob, but do give my current motor a pat if we've been for a particularly 'spirited drive'... and yes i do look back
i've never apologised for snicking a gear though... then again i built the gearbox... i'll have to rebuild it when i break it! so i guess i've earned the right to snick now and again...
i will occasionally say 'good girl' after catching a particularly leery oversteery drift... but that's just good manners.... isn't it?
o.

I have to admit to having more than one glance when walking away. I also have a good look when i`m driving past shops with big windows. There are 3 or 4 very good spots on my way to work. One it a big door at 45 degrees to the road - great view.
Very sad this but - after washing the car on a dark winters evening a stop in at a petrol station to make sure its totally clean under the lights. Usually go in to the shop and buy a packet of chewing gum so not to make it look too obvious.

Ok I do the following:
1) I always look back when I park it.
2) Park it about 10 miles from the shops.
3) Stare at shop windows when I drive past (very frightening for passengers!!!)
4) Look at peaople's face's as I drive past and look to see whether the have turned round.
5) Sleep with the window open and jump up at the first sound of movement.
etc
etc
etc
I believe this is called 'scoobyitus' and it is cureable, but only through many hours of councelling.

lol @ This thread, glad to know I'm not alone

Always look back, the car also gets parked outside the ofice window and I'm freqently asked by my co-workers "it's still there then?" when I look out the window followed by 10 minutes of **** taking

Also appologise if I make a mistake when driving "Sorry Scoob" ...and yes, he gets a goodnight pat followed by a "night Scoob" as I close the garage door
...he did also get a hug after his Power Engineering Rolling Road run, but then that was an extra special occasion as he did very well

The thing is - I can get away with this 'cos I'm a girl

hah, you don't know how helpful this has been. i scraped back from waterloo last night and parked up with a "night scoob". My missus response was "you really are a sad ******* you know", to which i could reply "maybe so, but there are a lot of them out there...I know!"
My mates gave me a hard time when that shania **** (sorry twain) song was out a few years ago - "I cant believe you kiss your car goodnight" They all think of my when they hear that. I cant think why???
Look at it -
when leaving.
when returning.
in the middle of the night through the landing window while pretending to go to the loo because I thought I heard a noise.
AND listen to it cool down - tick tick tick
soooo sad.
