Cool

rather good on the 1 i had a go in but then owners had spent nearly 2k on AP 6 pots
Er standard STi4 pots front & 2 pots is it rear? Not sure that's just my guesswork, i'm pretty sure they were standard scooby 4 pots up front as i nearly bort em when they got the AP's

On the STI Type R they are the same 4 pot subaru front brakes but the rear brakes are two pots I think for the later classic STIs, maybe wrong though.

All V5/6 STi Type Rs, RAs and the 22B have the larger vented rear brakes and rear R180 limited slip diff. Some V Ltd's have the front diff too, but not all.

So a lack of ABS is not something to worry too much about then ?

Cool

personally i cant wait 2 get rid of ABS it might be good in the summer wet etc when trying 2 slow down in carp conditions when u need 2 get funky with the braking/steering but give it 8 months or so when the cold icey, snowy weather starts & there will b numerous threads on how do i disable ABS as it is seriously shyte in such conditions when locking up can b an advantage.

510/1000? Mine is an STi 2, 374/555

Having said that, I've seen another one exactly like mine (roof vent, MY I think 96) before. The IOM does seem to be a bit of a scooby haven though But with roads like we've got it's not hard to see why!

Hi KRM!

Ah I see, mines a V5(1999)555 WRC Limited Edition no 510/1000 in lovely shiny Sonic Blue...
I 'think' Kenb's is from the exact same run as mine, but an earlier number!

As for the roads, well Scooby country is all I can say!

Fascinating thread guys, just read it all - great stuff.

What would be really useful would be if there were a gallery of all the different types of scoob identified by year and model - classics, bug eyes, STi's, McRae Ltd editions, Catalunya's etc. etc. I'm forever trying to identify the models as I see them.

Does such a gallery already exist? I've been to the SIDC site and whilst it's okay, it could be much better for this sort of thing and scoobynet would be the best place to host it.

Fuel ?!

So 97RON super unleaded is the highest I can get over here so do I need to add octane booster ?? I have read in some book and things that it is not recommended and that super unleaded is enough ?

Also people talk about getting the ECU remapped to run better on UK fuel !

What do people think ?
