Question

John

On another note, whilst you were away I had a 3inch exhaust fitted. Much to my suprise after this I was seeing more knock correction, rather than less which was what I expected. I posted a thread asking why causing a few different theories from the likes of AndyF, Bob, Moray etc, but no real plausible answer. Suffice to say a bottle of Millers sorted it but can you shed any light. I wasn't running lean and boost wasn't higher than I've had it before without probs.

Cheers

Simon

The capture rate option is found in the live data capture window. I think 200ms may be the default rate though. I'm not sure whether shorter logs will result in better capture on its own.

If you had 55L of 93 and 5L of 102 that will only put your RON up to 93.75. One shot of NF I think makes 2-3 points so you will have around 96-97 RON. Shame you can't get it any higher.

Charge temps rise very quickly if the cars been stationery for any length of time, was that contributory? If not I'm a bit concerned because I suppose there's a chance England could see temps of 18-19 degrees in the height of summer and I was planning on running around 15.5psi of boost, plus as I'm using a mechanical boost controller, the ECU can't cut the boost to 7psi. I am however going to run optimax + booster for this period which should see me close to 100 RON.

JB advice welcome.

Simon

Edited to say - maybe I should just get a remap and be done with it.
