Cars can have anything from 6-60 miles on the clock when the customer picks up their car. It also depends on the dealers location as to the miles put on the car before delivery. If the car is delivered to a compound and not to the dealers main showroom/workshop the car will be driven from compound to dealership. There is the PDI test drive and the trip to the petrol station- this could take a few more. Then there could be the trip to the valeters, leather trimmers, Sat nav installers, window tinters, Tracker installers, etc so by then you may have more miles then when it came off the ship.

This is not meant as a general rule as most of the time cars are delivered with about 20ish miles on the clock.

Guy at work had a company car delivered from a finace company, was promised it'd be delivered by a low-loader, and nice and clean.

When it was driven doen from Southampton (to Cornwall) he complained and got a discount for the company.

Downside: he had the urine extracted for at least a week.
