Apparantly it has gone off to be printed now. Normal 2 page spread. My piccy is awful, but the machine looks amazing
I have requested that they make some changes to the wording, as they have muppetised it a bit and got some bits wrong......
DOH. I did ask them to send me a copy beforehand so I could check it but they didn't bother
Fingers crossed that they actually can make the changes
If any of the geeky amongst you that I know want to see a copy of it , let me know on here or by mail and I will forward it
Cheers,
Nick

Now I am gutted and annoyed.....
Despite me asking them more than once, they never sent me a copy of the article BEFORE it went to print, they forgot to send me a copy anyway until today, I asked if they could make a few small text changes as they had muppetised quite a few bits somewhat and obviously typod some bits through there lack of knowledge, despite me doing good write-ups on the intersting bits at their request and at least add my email address in as they had done with previous ones and it is now too late apparantly. Printing run all setup .
Also, after being stuck at home for 4 hours in darkness on saturday afternoon, whilst the Photographer took snaps etc, he offered to send me a copy of all the photos that he took. As requested I emailed him my address details again and heard nothing. I emailed once more this week and still nothing
I never asked for any money etc when they approached me to do this article etc. What do you guys think I should say to them now?
I want to express my disappointment over the whole thing to them, but I am not sure if I should be cheeky and ask for something in return for there mistakes. Wording is prob wrong, but I feel'misrepresented' about the whole thing tbh
Any sensible advice comments welcomed.
Cheers,
Nick
P.S. Si, the email with the article is about 1 meg and I only have your hotmail addy, which is normally always full

Nick
A few years ago now a magazine called golfers weekly (or similar) was doing articles on behind the scene's, i was phoned up and asked if they could interview/photo me at work, personally i didn't want to do it but club management thought it would be good advertisment. Interveiw ended up being done on phone as they didn't have enough time whilst at the club and hardly anything i actually said was in article, but an awful lot i didn't say was.
I tried to get an apology and what i'd actually said put in print with no joy what so ever and in the end just gave up (120+ hour weeks don't leave you with much time)
Try and see what they'll do but don't hold your hopes up, jornalists in my oppinion just what to print what they what!
Cheers

Nope, if I were having any problems then I would start looking, but I have none
I think that I will complain to them anyway as I need to vent tbh.
Cheers,
Nick

Frees up a 5 1/4 and is backlit as well. Pity its not a blue backlight but is deffo easier to read than the original.

On second thoughts that sensor would prob look OK in your case as its a greenish backlight which is pretty similar to the Prometia display.
On closer inspection I also realised I have the larger PC-75 case, a bit bigger than the PC-60 as I need the PC-75's empty space above the PSU bay for the Asetek KT-03's radiator. I wanted large enough case to house all the watercooling gubbins while still having the ability to draw in cool air into the raddy with the minimum of case hacking or bodging, hopefully the raddy will be completely stealthed above the PSU. Im hoping two decent 80mm fans mounted in the empty fan mounts on the PC-75 will be enough for half decent radiator cooling. What do you think?
Mines is looking pretty similar to your rig atm, obviously without the 'cool' Prometia I'm also using an alloy and blue back lit Vantec Nexus Fan Controller to control the raddys 80mm's and the fan on the Z80, this lets me run them as slow as possible when the PC is sitting idle.
I guess blue with silver lights are just too cool atm (pardon the pun)

Well, things have got better in the end
Somehow hardware reviews came into the latest email session that I had with them and they would like me to try out as a hardware rewiewer for them! If I accept they are prepared to ship me out some stuff to test and write up . I am well up for that, bar work and out of work commitments atm
Cheers,
Nick

Well, The mag seems to have come out today (Issue 149), complete with my 2 page spread, with all their technical typo's too . I have officially been asked to start reviewing hardware for them on a freelance basis, which I have accepted
Hopefully, first up for review by me will be the Mach II Prometeia system versus the Vapochill PE. At least something which I have some knowledge on then
Hopefully, this might be the start of a good thing, as I was starting to get tired of fighting to make a name for myself in this industry.
Cheers,
Nick
