This is a rant about peoples motives to buy a Scoobya
While I was filling my car up, a spanking 22b pulled up. Guy in a suit and tie gets out and buys some stuff in the shop
When you come back to see your mate let me and Ferne (the wife, also registered on here) know and we'll meet for a drink. I live just off Holderness Road

Hmmm... is this co-incidence?

Ive NO IDEA if this might be him. Maybe he'll tell us?http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=182899

Scared to say the name but she lives on the Longhill Estate.
I will be through to see her on 12th and 13th of March and then on the whole weekend of 4th April, though in April I will be
Scooby less.

If its any comfort Dai, people like that are too self important for words and just want to impress you with all their posessions. They are usually severely lacking in personality so are trying to talk themselves up in their own and your estimation, they think!
I have found that if you treat them as unimportant and ignore them they wiil either throw their toys out of the pram or just go away. Either way is a result!

What an annoying T8osser. I do hate that kinda thing. Surely anyone who thinks that scoobs are the best thing since the wheel was invented are welcome in to the community. I don't care what the spec is it's a SCOOB and that's what counts. Although we did have a case when we were in a service station and parked up next to another scoob, guy came back the same time we did and totally blanked us!!! was wearing suit and tie so assumed was probably a rep of some description and didn't care about scoobs in general. Long live FHI.

Shouldve told him that you were an off-duty officer in the drugs squad and that the car was part of the set up. You could then say that you'd be contacting some colleagues about his 170mph claim.
Funnily one of the things he said was " what was the fastest I had been in my Scoob" I said, truthfully I was not into that sort of stuff. He said it's ok I am not the police or anything, and as if proof he bragged hed had been up to 165 - 170 regularly and how his old Tuscan was faster than that. This was typical of the conversation. I have found out who the guy is, and I am praying for a shower of skunk s**t to pass over his house right now.
Well if you said you weren't into that kind of thing then why care that he said he was doing 160/170? Sounds more like he was making scooby conversation rather than trying to put you down.
Sure you aren't just over-reacting like you seemed to do when I joked about living in Hull?
One man witch hunts like this shouldn't be on scoobynet imo.

Speaking as a Hull Scooby owner I can honestly say that this attitude is not typical of Hull Scoobers - he must have just been passing through or something
Is that true that 2 of the 16 UK 22Bs are in Hull?? I haven't spotted one yet!

No it's definately not typical, Mossman, Rezze and the rest are a friendly bunch of guy's. I am up next week 12th & 13th to see my lovely and we plan a meet for coffee ( beers ? ) if possible. Come and join us, deatils to follow.
And yes there are TWO of the genuine 16UK 22b's in Hull. I've only seen the one and it's a real beauty.
