"Did Newcastle have a shot on goal?"

If you were there, you'd know we did.

Not one of our better performances - pretty, pretty but no going for the jugular. Still, not unusual for a small Club, fighting their Season after Season relegation battle, to pull off a victory against one of the Big Clubs.

Roll on our next game - oh yes, more Champions League Football! Game 69 in top flight European competition. When's the Final of the North Yorkshire Senior Cup again?

Cheers

Mike

PS I see the access to the Riversh!te Stadium's as bad as ever. I was talking to a Cleveland Constabulary PC earlier, who said the Force still can't work out how the ground has a safety certificate - dangerous...

From WWW.teamtalk.com

"Dyer was controversially flagged offside when clean through, a decision which summed up the visitors' night."

Dreadful officials too...

Cheers

Unhappy

Toonman,

I was there a few years ago with Blackburn and I too came away saying that it was a dangerous stadium, especially underneath in the toilet/catering area, held in there like a pen of sheep.

I've been to the Reebok (comparing new stadia here) and it was not as bad as the Riverside.

I wouldn't rush back I'm afraid

"Did Newcastle ACTUALLY turn up???????????????"

Well we know you didn't Pete!

Typical isn't it? Smoggies jumping onto a win at last. I remember when they went bust due to gates of between 3 and 5000. If all that had CLAIMED to have gone regularly, ACTUALLY attended, they'd have been the richest Club in Europe, not the poorest! Hahahaha

Wonder how much the Smogs paid the Ref and the Linesmen?

Cheers

"Stuffed you were well and truly!!!"

Oh, and I thought the Smogs would see this as a stuffing. Let's face it, with their Strikeforce, a One nil win IS a stuffing of the opposition for them!

Anyway, got to go now. Thinking ahead to our 69th game in Top Class European competition - Inter at the San Sero. The closest Boro will get to the San is the SANd on Redcar beach! HaHaHaHa

For the first time at Home in the Top Flight for 26 years... That's 26 YEARS!!! Some record!

Now let's see; last 4 games between the 2 Clubs:

Newcastle Utd Won = 3 Lost = 1 Scored For = 9 Against = 2

4-1, 3-0, 2-0. A couple of "thrashings" there I see (by normal standards) 3 thrashings by yours...

So there you go Pete; you "thrashed" us once (1-0), and we thrashed you 3 times!

Cheers!
