Well they SHOULD, if they are REALLY serious about playing with the BIG boys they need to sort out 'relegation form' (as Toonman said!) Boro!!
We shall see, We shall see
We could have a full strength defence? and a couple of strikers ready to roll ..................... bring it on Toons!!!

IF Newcastle think they are Champion material then they SHOULD put BORO to bed in a 0-3 thrashing ..... anything less will mean they are NOT up to the job!!

"CL"
You'll have to explain to Boro fans (and the Club too), what CL stands for, or even where Europe is!
On Wednesday evening, we played yet another game in top flight European competition (no Intertoto or Anglo Italian Cup crap!).
NUFC = 68
Sunderland AFC = 2
Middlesbrough FC = 0
Middlesbrough FC (1986) = 0

Typical - Toons living in history!!
Yes, I FULLY expect Newcastle to beat BORO by six!!
If they dont then they are what they always are, pretenders!!
If, by any fluke of the imagination, BORO win - Well, I would leave the BBS all Toon fans!! All this talk of being a top team will be shown as the sham it may be!!

I`ll take 1-0 to the Toon. We don`t have to roll teams 3-0 to prove where we`ve gotten to, but 3-0 would be nice, close our goal diff on ManUre.
A win is a win is a win.
Come on Toon (but take your masks).

Looks like we will have our Reserves out tonight!!
BORO 0 v 6 Newcastle
Middlesbrough will be without former Derby defender Chris Riggott against Newcastle at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night.
Riggott has undergone an operation on a torn cartilage and will be out of action for three to four weeks.
Ugo Ehiogu is expected to take over after recovering from broken ribs and a punctured lung.
Former Derby striker Malcolm Christie is rated doubtful with a virus.
