I don;t think here is the right place to ask or to answer but..

If the temp gauge and revs were all over the place, sounds like a coolant leak.. sensor for gauge and ecu temp see air then water etc as the air bubbles go through the system.. ecu sees cold when air goes through and puts choke on hence revs increase, then sees water temp and revs drop as it turns the choke off.

If it now won't start then it sounds like the leak is due to head gasket or you have warped the head etc etc..

Check your water level and look for cream in the oil and oil in the water etc..

Sounds like you probably killed it though, best thing for the poor Punto.

Dear Mr.Wallis,

I will have a little spare cash this weekend and i was thinking about pumping it into the leg.

We need to have a team-talk about 'the plan' and purchasing some bits.

Mr.X

P.S. Sold the blue saloon for £1000 (with the gearbox still popped out of its mind). 'I love it when a plan comes together'

Fuzz..

I need to get on with it now..

Its been a bit difficult as weve been building a new workbench in the back of the garage.. which will give me somewhere to fix the spare gearbox etc.. and make car parts..

Will be sorted soon

Ive tried talking to steven.. at the end of the day its his choice.. he has two kids and a wife which come before the car..

Anyway, we mapped it a bit more.. didnt really touch timing, mainly fueling.. and it hasnt been mapped in boost areas... however once ive built a little circuit to take a

9:1 - 19:1 0 - 5v output to a linear 10:1 - 30:1 0-1v then im in business to run fully closed loop.. circuit is designed, bits are at home.. footy tonight though.

Will try car and then see about mapping if it works.

9:1 - 19:1 is the AFR range that my wideband will do.. you get a linear voltage between 0 and 5volts representing the above..

i need to then rescale this output to pretend to be 10:1 - 30:1 with 0 - 1 volts.. (which is what my ecu wants..)

Rev counter now working..
Missfire seems better / gone.. just need a road test..

also..

My solution to test for wideband.. as designed by my dad..
http://www.wallis2000.co.uk/newproject/op_amp.xls

or..

works down to 8v.. Just operating temp to look at now.

(See note on resistors for 9:1)
