If you get a decent tuner to fit you out with the right zorst, you should be a-ok. I have an MY99 wagon, and needed to get a special resonator installed for the modified 2.5" flange and 2.5" zorst, otherwise the cabin noise was too much!
Although the noise could be attributed to the centre pipe being a little longer than most sedans/coupes. Or the turbos might have more soundproofing.

Dude!
That's looking well I'm not a big fan of putting a turbo bonnet on the Sport as it's almost an admition of being ashamed of having a non-turbo - IMHO of course
Spoiler - that is exactly the one I want - is it the STI 6 one? how much and where from please
Exhaust - I have a Hayward & Scott Afterburner backbox I got from Scooby World. It has a 4.5" tailpipe and was a direct replacement for the standard Sport backbox (Kwikfit fitted it for me on their ramps for free!!!! ) looks are much better and I even get the odd pop on lift off down hill
Pictures of my DBM are on previous pages
cheers, Jon

Well, I am proud of all our work on the car. But ss you all KEEP pointing out there are more things to get done and, remembering we have a 15 month old daughter, we shall do when we have more spare cashola!!
Yes its an Sti5/6 spiler, one of the best IMO. It cost £370 painted from DR motorsport.
Plus, I don't see any harm in doing up a sport as I'm sure none of you mind psople doing up a turbo!!! We're not all lucky enough to have that sort of cash. I bought this out of the inheritance from my mum so scooby is one of my pride and joys and we shall keep modifying her till we can afford something more NASTY!! Each to there own opinon and all!

Rusty Festa - thats one BIG pipe and looks mean m8 How much did it set u back?
Here is a link for DR motorsport > www.drmotorsport.co.uk. As the mrs said above it was £370 and is actually an STI5 spoiler. The STI6 has an extra lip and is an inch bigger (mine is supposed to be 12" but I aint measured it!!!! )
I personally prefer the STI5 as the STI6 looks a bit odd IMHO!
Thanks for the comments guys - right im off to start hunting the streets for lost change to pay for the next mod

As far as the exhaust goes Dude, i got mine from Hayward and Scott direct, went for the 99db 4" kiddy, and it sounds a treat, drove down there, and within 15 mins, i was driving away with it burbling like a good un, it now gets a few stares, which one has to like and the cost was good to. well worth the money!!!

Thanks for your compliment about the Subarusportsters egroup. It is only intended to be a means of communication for like minded Sport owners - not an all singing, all dancing web site.
phaynes already has plans to set up a bbs style web site for normally aspirated Imprezas. See last post to first page of this thread.

lol @ S_D
How much will the Cobra seats set you back with all the fittings N_W_S? I was having a look at some seats and after buying the fittings at £40 a seat they came to close on 280 bucks! That kinda put me in the mind of getting the int out of a turbo as you said for around the £300 mark.
Mind you I was looking at the wider, more expensive seats coz I have got a fat ****! lol

Hi Scoobybraids - no offence taken
I actually won the back box on the Staffordshire treasure hunt last year but I belive they are around £300ish - drop Wendy an email at ScoobyWorld for more info
I did have some sti7 alloys but as they came with 225/45 tyres I sold them on (rubbed on the rear suspension struts)...regretting it now even though I couldn't afford the cost of reshoeing them
Hoping to catch up with you all at the Northern Big One
Cheers, Jon

Dude!/Scoobybraids
I can personally recommend Powerflow exhausts, as you get to choose how loud you want it to be, mine's pretty darned loud, especially at motorway speeds, but it has to be the ultimate mod to get the heads turning. Bit of a shame for my neighbours when I go to work at 5.30am though.

just to let you know I more than held my own with the turbo's on today's butter me up run (courtesey of the Cumbrian Scoobs) - I think it is more fun in the twisties wearing nothing but 195/60/15's and working the 'box to the max
