could you not swap with someone who has a new my03 wrx and swap their dark silver wheels for your gold ones.

someone who has a wr blue wrx would rip your hand off.

Andy

Thought so - Subarussian mentioned you (do you have his email address?).

I only live down the road from Richmond - looking forward to a SW London silver STi meet.

don't think the standard ones will go over the brembo brakes.

Agree about the scoop. Saw it for the first time today and it doesn't look out of place - more change of seeing the STi logo on teh intercooler!

As you can see from the previous page, I've gone for the 'bright flitter' FF7s on mine. It's stange though, because I'd always fancied putting gold wheels on the P1, but never did, and was really looking forward to getting the standard gold wheels on the STi.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't get used to them. I think it was partly because I'm not a great fan of the wheel design, and partly because the OEM wheels, and all the others for that matter, don't match the calipers. I'm afraid that just offends my eye, as I prefer that things either match or contrast, and all the gold wheels are neither.

In retrospect, although I'm delighted with the wheels, I think it would have been cheaper to change my eyes.

You could always sell them to me and buy some silver/anthracite coloured wheels. Then you get a choice and size to go with. I agree the silver doesn't look right with the Gold rims. The Blue/Black/White do look good IMO with Gold rims.

Let me know

I'm with paulpalmer on Josh's scoob - that is a seriously nice looking car. First time in a loooong time I've said that about a scoob if I'm being honest!

Very kind Smudge.

I'm very pleased with it myself, and think it looks just about right. However, I've seen pix of Chuck's STi with the gold FF7s and it does look very good. Just not my cup of tea.

Sorry I forgot about the brembos needing the wider wheels to house them.

You might still be worth advertising them for sale. as for the difference between the sale and new wheels of your choice might not be much more than the recoating.

just a thought.
