83mph @ 4K
103 @ 5K etc.

MY-93 WRX

3000-rpm = 63mph
3500-rpm = 74mph
4000-rpm = 85/6mph

The UK cars are geared so that (in 5th);

2000rpm = 50mph
4000rpm = 100mph
6000rpm = 150mph

If the top speed in a UK WRX is 144mph, this means the car won't run past 5750rpm in top.....why?

So, Being new to this - does this mean that I can bolt on a uk spec gearbox and get better fuel economy ? (most of my driving is done on motorways) it would save me loads if this was the case as to maintain 80mph my car is always using the boost !

WRX 93 import.
