Rich,
I think Geoff Painter may well be looking for a co-driver....tho it will be an EVO....plus side I guess is its brand new
Maybe you could get a nice lift down with him....and slum it with the rest of us in the hotel rather than your own appartment???

Hi all.... not been on for a few months now... a few big changes this end...!! Sadly i may not be attending the CAT trip this year...well not in the Type R anyway...its now sold and goes next week..!! was going to treat myself to an STI8 but sadly i'm in the middle of a divorce so that will have to be put on hold..!!
Last year i drove down to Plymouth and sailed overnight across to St marlo in northern France.... then drove down to meet up with you all in spain. we got off the ferry at 8.30 AM and made it down to you at the Subaru team HQ by about 5PM. The ferry wasnt too expensive either and the drive through france was fun. Just thought i'd mention this to give you another option for your trip down.
I have a Civic typeR coming later in the month...delivery date about the 20th i think.... so i may sprint down in that for a bit of fun if things are a bit more settled around October time..!!
Speak to you all soon

Hi Tom
I did as you said on a previous post and requested a fax confirmation. Saying that, they only wrote "confirmed OK" and sent it back with the hotel stamp on it!!
See you there on the 21st.

A sad loss Rich, I'm sure all our best wishes are extended toward Dave's family and friends alike, especially as many are starting preparations for this years Cat.

Is anybody going via the tunnel as it looks like Pete Croney cannot make it and I seem to be the only one going from the South East.
I am planning to go on the Tuesday evening but can change to the Monday eve to suit.

Myself and Dave are going via the Plymouth-Santander ferry on the 19th October along with Neil and Clem in the other P1.
Any other cars wanting to join us are more than welcome.

I think we will be leaving on the Monday night and get there Tuesday AM for breakfast.
See you all there.
Last year it was difficult to get stage maps as they had sold out when we arrived.
Please can someone get me one from the Olympic Hotel.
Cost about 6 euros.
For info, the rooms at the Samba do not have tea making facilities so if you like a cuppa 1st thing in the morning take a kettle and tea bags etc some starts are very early so nothing is open apart from the Total garage over the road.
