Hi I am very interested in this and might swing it past teh missus as it is my birthday on 21st October. I have just joined Yahoo group thing and will follow up on there any details such as dates of leaving and return , costs when will need to tell/beg wife etc I assume on yahoo.
I will be driving but my usual co-driver will be at school so will have a spare seat if anyone wants to be co-driver will leave from kent so probably the tunnel but don't care apart from that.
was there a reprot or something from last year which I could have a read of

So far, for the Tunnel/Ferry and night time blast down, there's:
Me/Jason Crozier
Scotty/Jono (?)
Bald Eagle/?
Gazzer/?
Current record is 9.5 hours from Calais to Lloret

Hiya Pete
I shall be on my lonesome on the way down....and a week ahead of everyone else as I am involved with the car in/around Marbella prior to the rally (so I'll be doing just a FEW miles in October)....the return trip should be a little better.....with, hopefully, Mossman in the car...
It will no doubt be another fine trip to Lloret....bring it on!!!

Well I reckon I need to come down for this trip as last year was so good. Not sure whether to bring the car down, hitch a lift as a passenger (I'm open to offers ), or fly down and hire a car. Got to try and fit it all in and then get back to Wales as that is already booked

Hi all,
Just to return to Rum's original post, can we get some numbers of people interested in the different route options? This may be useful in getting an idea of costs and poss. discounts;
The queation was;
1. How many are thinking about driving the whole way down (via the tunnel)
2. How many are thinking about driving the whole way down (via Plymouth - Santander ferry
3. How many are thinking about driving part way using Hull - Rotterdam crossing and then putting the car on the train in France to Toulouse and drive into Spain
We will also need to speak with the hotel shortly regarding number of rooms & parking needs.
I'll start;
TunnelMeister - option 3 + parking
cheers
Steve.
Tom, will try to call you tomorrow.

Put me down for a hotel room at least. Not sure what Sal is doing yet - I'll let you know. Another option might be to fly down to Barcelona on Sleazy Jet and hire a car for a week. If not, I am happy to consider a co-pilot role and split someones costs

LOL @ Tunnelmeister
I'm sure the trick is to consume laods and loads of Guiness and then just pass out where you fall
I'll start having another look into Ferry and Train prices at the beginning of May and post the results here in a while
Bring it on....even tho its still months away!!! *LMAO*
