because the USA is our ally. I have alot more in common with American citizens than Palestinians or Iraqis. Yes the Israelis are heavy handed but the palestinians aren't blameless. WTF do you expect Israel to do when these fanatical suicide bombers are blowing up buses etc?

There are some very bright people in the USA, and I am furtunate to know some of them.
However, I'd agree with what rsquire said, they are very, well, the mental age thingy is pretty accurate. Makes a nice 3 day trip, but gets boring quickly.

This whole thing isn't about Saddam, it isn't about Dubya and it isn't about Israel. At least not in isolation.
It's about consistency, even handedness and respect. Soemthing that the US is massively lacking in. Why does half the Middle east hate the United States? Because they see the US and their allies being allowed or even encouraged to do things that the nations outside of the favoured few get the sh*t bombed out of them for.
Examples. The USA has a problem with the leadership of a sovereign state so they invade. After sending the TV crews in first, of course. That'll be Grenada, then. Or Panama.
The UN produce a moratorium on the development of bacterialogical weapons, which *everyone* signs. Except the US, who refuse on the basis that inspection might violate their commercial interests.
The US encourage an uprising agains Saddam in Southern Iraq after Desert Storm. Then they *lift* the no-fly zone so that Saddam can get reinforcements down there to crush it because they suddenly realise that, well yeah, another fundamentalist state just might be worse.
The US has stated that it will happily go to war on its own, regardless of UN opinion.
If any country outside of the USA's little clique of pals had done these things then Dubya would have no doubt threatened military action. And Mr B.Liar would have gone along with it. In our names

I served in the armed forces, fought in The Falklands and Ulster and served in Beirut, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan and a whole shedload of other sh*tholes with the UN because I was good at my job and kept my mind open.
Just think of it this way. If Dubya decides that we're outside the gang then he may decide it's time to bomb us into letting the IRA win. How is that different to Iraq? After all, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter...

I didn't say the U.S were perfect(can Moses say that about Paestine? Of course not Israel are 100% to blame aren't they!). Everyone thrives on the negative aspects of their foreign policy. They have done alot of good too.
Lets have a look at China's breach of human rights? How about Somalia's or even Iran's? Argentina's perhaps? No country is perfect.

I was just saying that some countries are guilty of mass genocide to their own populations. e.g Iraq, Somalia. This world is far from perfect but according to Moses its the western world that solely to blame for everything.
