Anyone up for a little CMR2 competition?
I should really learn when to shut up.
Great driving Scott....and you're absolutely right about the older cars.
Change of rules:
Only WRC-cars are allowed from next SS, starting on Monday.

Cheers

Did a 2:18:33 in the 206 last night but this was one on the PSX with the game pad so I think thats pretty good. I am sure that the PC and wheel times will bring that down, too much wheel spin on the analogue controller.
Just out of interest what PC and Graphic card combination are you guys using. I have just had a raz on my older PC with a P2 450 processor and a Geforce2 32 meg card, my time was over 1 second down on my new PC time. Just doesnt run as slick. Not jerky-vision but definately lower FPS even with the draw distance cranked back.

The week is soon coming to an end...I'm still in lead with:
2.11.56 - Italy SS1 - Lancia Delta Integrale
Come on guys!
A tip...stiff suspension, move the drive towards the rear, a bit more steering. Keep the momentum, try to slide as little as possible.

Jerry! Get back to work right this minute! ;-P
Got a serious network-colin-gaming session tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. Will get back to you with my effort...
Great idea though... wish I had a super-trouper modem quicker than 1.7 bps that I seem to have now. 'Cause then we could play over the net! :-D
/Secret Daemon Man
PS. Will practise SS2 which is your next stage right? ;-)

Best I can do:
2.12.13 - Italy SS1 - Lancia Delta Integrale
and now I've had enough of that stage. I hate it, its too slow.
So where we going next then ?
Cheers

Hi All!
The problem with PC CMR2 is trying to get it to run smoothly! I've tried and have come to the conclusion that the only way to get it smooth is to sacrifice force feedback :-( With Win2k and an Athlon 1GHz with the nVidia GeForce 2 Ultra it runs very smoothly, but there ain't no feedback, which can make life "interesting", especially since I like to drive with the front bumper view, which makes detecting sideways-ness a little more difficult.
As for Italy SS1 I cannot remember what time I got, will have a play with the P2000 (or is it a WRC99?) later tonight... France I got down to a fine art, but again can't remember times (only that all of the corners were power slides with low slip angle)
Cheers,
Pat.

I have definately got too much spare time, just done a 2:08.56 with the Intergrale. YeeeHaaa.
Pat, your previous post. I had the exact same problem but there is a patch that resolves this. I got the patch from a Magazine cover disc, but i am sure it is on a gamers site somewhere. Version 1.05 i think.
cheers Scott

2.08.04 - SS1 Italy - Pug 205 t16
Will I win this first SS?
That is one crazy car...REALLY hard to control.
Deamon_G>>Maybe we'll finally get that quickshift in your car then?
We're aiming for 11-ish, shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to install it.
Yeah, snow is definitely sweet, don't really know about driving on that lake though...scary business.
