Jon, have you checked the other threads regards RB5 meets, most are locked due to people taking the pi$$, like they really needed to reply at all.
But regards the NBO i'm trying to get some together like John(lordharding) suggested......for what it's worth

The idea to get RB5's together (and any other groupings of similar cars if they want a photoshoot) is in response to the wishes of the owners, without it having to be an 'exclusive' meet.
It is also inspired by the 'parade' of Cosworths at last years RS National Day at Donnington where the cars were driven slowly round the track in groups of colours. it made quite a sight.
We might not have a racetrack to play with nut I think, if we have room for 500 cars, the best way may be to have a 'photo area' where we can do line-ups for the cameras.
Any suggestions for other groupings? Terzo's, P1's etc?
This would avoid the need to marshal all the similar cars together in the car park.

how many other groups out there are there ?
P1
RB5
Terso
GREEN WAGONS
ST1-8
22B
like the idea of a photo shoot but will a lot of the owners be dragged around the theme park by their partners kids etc?
Gridlocks is correct when he thinks marshelling would be a nightmare but we put man on the moon
Any suggestions on how to do this ?
i think we would have to start again with the list with modles to sort out beforehand
Or we could all just pile in and see what happens

Have we got any kind of a site map yet? - would be handy for planning in relation to walk ways to the theme park - don't want to put all the cars in the way of the masses running to the toilets
I like CW's suggestion of a reserved "photo Gallery" area where at half our intervals cars can mass (if they wish) to do same model shoots - shoots would only take five minutes but entering arranging and exting could take up to twenty
We could then publish a timetable so folks would know when they could be in the theme park. The discussion continues...
Hmm, too many :eeks:'s in this post
balance restored, Jon

and the public
I'm not sure how you can park the cars and then every half hour or so have a musical chairs type thingy going on without it all going pete tong and having joe public huffin and puffin' cos he has to wait to park his MPV full of sprogs while a line of P1's shuffles on by, squeezing past the returning, also shuffling RB5's who now no longer have anywhere to park because the Mondeo's have arrived in the mean whilst.
I remember The Big One where i was conscious of public opinion as far as the highways were concerned. Because there was a small villiage to consider and also the link road from the main road to the pub car park was only 300 meters or so long, i just wanted to get everyone in. As it was there were pretty big tailbacks from all directions (Looked and sounded cool, but the odd mondeo caught up in the convoys, just nipping to the pub, didn't think so) but had I have decided to park cars in groups, we would probably still be there now (Well maybe not ) I figured that cars were arriving in convoys so would like to park together. It was the easy option, i saw no danger...so i took it
I really like the Idea, but I think the public will be the problem. If we had our own big area, with no-one else to consider but ourselves then it would be a different story.
Not sure how to sort this one, but like John says, men have been to the moon apparently

well articulated GM
...back to the drawing board? The minimum we need to do is get everyone in on a first to arrive at the back kind of a way that still allows the first in to leave at anytime they like.
This is going to mean some kind of one way system to minimise congestion (excluding Lancaster's model of a one-way system )
Are we going to have access the day before to rope areas off? - I think we are going to need it...if not rope/plastic tape then some good spray paint to mark areas out...

WOW
that looks complicated !!
Unless 10 RB5 cars respond within 2 weeks as i suggested we are going to keep it simple !!
First in line up (reverse into parking place ) as it spoils the nice clean lines if one oddie pulls in forward !!
next one parks next to it and so on untill the car park is full
The park opens at 10 am with the majority arriving from the many convoys probably between 11 and 12 thats 300 in aprox 1 hour:d
5 scoobs a minute
My wonderful marshalls from thee Tyne Tees Scoobs are going to be busy!!Ear plugs will be supplied :d
Theres one thing they will be heard for many miles around
A full site visit is planned but i think when i look at the sheer volume we will leave the grouping together and putting the first scoob on the moon untill the NEXT BIG ONE ***

Lord Harding,
Great idea, glad to see common sense prevailing in the end.
I had visions of massive tailback being caused by a driver wanting to park with the rest of his convoy whilst I had his arm up his back insisting that he parked with the nice red group in the corner.
Might have to stick the Evo's out of the way though.
I think we are going to have to be ruthless with the start time. i.e. no cars before 11.00am. This will allow for the trade stands and displays to get on-site and set up in time for the grand opening. (Whose doing that by the way)
Cheers
Martin
