oh well....dedsigner gear will always be designer gear....you buy a pair of patrick *** loafers...price is £145..but it lasts..3 years time you buy another pair..£40 will get you a pair of loafewrs from next..1 years time the sole has a hole..cost of repair £20..total cost over 3 years is £20 less than the Patrick ***..unless of course you fix your 1st pair of Next shoes!!

the point i am trying to or not to make is that in my past experience the designer togs that I wear have outlasted normal jeans/trousers/shirts/shoes/t-shirt...i am 27 years old yet i have a pair of jeans that i have been wearing..and still am wearing them from the age of 17!!

rolex appreciates over time...and if you need money asap you can always sell a £3k rolex for £2k....

Everyone has different views on either getting a fake or purchasing an original.

Some people feel it is stupid to spend 2k+ on an original, other people don't. It is usually the people who think it is stupid to spend so much on an original that they will go and purchase a fake.

In my eyes, I would always go for an original. Be it designer clothes, watches or *****!

Ok Rolex tend to hold their value... But With so many fakes around unless you take it to an expert the good ones will catch you out. So people will shy away. That makes the real ones hold their value as the dealer must be sure its 100% perfect.

A year ago we had this Chat.... I supplied a "Contact" with 5 Submariners. These where the best you can get. He sold them to a "Dealer" who uses the parts etc. You send a watch in with a damaged link... He fits an original (he's not stupid) but replaces another part with a fake. And buffs up the S/S to match.

Be carefull its going on all over the world. AND NEVER think when a ring /watch goes back to be serviced with diamonds.. you get them all back. A load get swapped for fakes. Would you notice 2 fakes out of 10 real ones on a watch or piece of jewelry??

So you knowingly supplied fake goods for the ultimate purpose of fraud.

Not very clever....

My watches have only ever been serviced by Rolex UK. If they start using fake parts then there is no hope for anyone.

No ..I found out later. Just be wary of the dealers that advertise around London and Manchester.... I have heard of a Watch repairer at a VERY VERY VERY famous shop (Easy isnt it!!) that swops things around.

Sometimes, the question is not knowingly buying a fake, but paying real money for a fake from a 'reputable' dealer. Imagine the surprise when u send it in for servicing at the authorised Rolex center and they tell u "sorry sir, we don't service fakes".
BTW, it is very unlikely that Protons can be turned into fake Scoobies, Evos maybe, as the former is a rebadged Lancer made locally. There are more fake Evos than the real thing so much so that they are assumed to be fakes until they passed and u can see the tail lights. Most owners are too cheapo to change them.

Picture this one then.......

Local chancer walks into reputable jewellers and asks to view a Rolex submariner the one with the black dial and st.st bracelet please, nice that he says can I look at the Omega GMT to compare the two together. When the assistants attention is disstracted said chancer swaps the Rolex for an identical(ish) Japanees replica that he has purchased over the internet specifically for this job for($170).Yes he says the Rolex looks the best can I leave a deposit of £50 on it while I go to the bank to make a whithdrawal. That wont be neccasary says the assistant Ill put it behind the counter for you, thanks says the chancer and walk out the shop.

Now then said chancer has now a Rolex submariner circa £2400 for the price of a $170 replica,no box though which is a bit of a downer but hey he doesnt complain........

But the worst bit is yet to come,on not returning to the shop the assistant puts the replica back on its display cussion for some poor git to pay full whack for

This is an urban myth I think they call it(actually sauna talk)but you could imagine it happening.

Later Yoza

P.S Anyone want to buy a Rolex Submariner black face,st.st bracelet no box or papers though

Some dealers are use to this... The watch you look at will be a fake!! Most in Windows are fakes. In case of a smash and grab

Question

Freak..........................WHY??????

Who are you trying to impress??

Will they think any less of you if you have a cheaper, genuine watch?

Are they worth knowing if they ARE impressed with you on the basis of a watch?

Question

?
Nothing to do with impressing people- i just like that watch.

I wouldnt wear/buy anything on the basis of it purely being to impress someone. Bit shallow and sad really that...
Its not like it says 'bling bling look at me' or something- nice and understated.

Just want a replica to protect the original when i am in certain dodgy places.

LMAO @ the Patrick *** comment, both my mates bought these shoes and although i am fan i resisted. One mate after wearing his for a month with his Saville Row suit and pucker work gear noticed them wearing thin. After 6 weeks they were shagged, went to shop he bought them in to complain

"Sir these are not everyday shoes!" (Strike one pair of 160 quid shoes after 6 weeks)

Other mates lasted him 4 months of wearing em to go out in only, he reckons he wore em clubbing like 12 times max - Quality leather they might be, too soft they definitely are, gonna last they defo won't. Wear em like slippers in the house and they might
