Mouse Attack ! ! ! ! !
BTW, ... my Moderator friends, I recognise this post has huge muppet potential but it also has a serious side.
) here... I would'nt want a classic such as this going to the muppets just yet..
I read about this last year and assumed it was an April fool. Apparantly once rats get a taste for brake fluid or antifreeze they are mega addicted and will stop at nothing to get their next fix. As with all good things it ultimately kills them.
Numptie,
As always, you enter a post on this board with such flair, style and finesse.
I had a good chuckle reading this, hopefully the poor nibbled thing will be repaired and available for me to see when I come up to Scotland soon.
I meant the car.
Michelle.
As an alter ego to a mod, I will ensure LMW doesn't move this until absolutely necessary - this is a calssic as Neil says.

Any truth in the rumour that the mice were trying to out of your car and move to a cleaner one!

Hopefully, T&C will give it a quick jet-wash to ease the pain.

Harsh... very harsh.
Just as an aside... seeing the pics of the car being towed away made me think ( - a rare event). My P1 manual states that the car should always be recovered on a flat-bed trailer and never towed as your car was. Is this a P1-specific thing then? I would've thought it was quite sensible for all 4WD cars???

The car isn't being towed...
Just ignore me!

Okay,
At no insignifcant personal cost..
Having spent the last two hours talking with both Bill and Steve, we have concluded, that even after localising all of the companies products to enrich the Celtic markets. There is no way that our company can be held liable for such a mouse led attack or any other such Subaru related virus
Our Support Personnel would like to point out that you should clean your Windows daily and also recommend that your mouse ***** are checked for free play every 20,000 clicks

... it looks like it's your head gasket ...
To be fair to T&C, they'd been given poor information from the tow-truck driver. All he said was that it'd dumped all its coolant and overheated (which it hadn't).
He'd also cut the chewed part of the hose so a vital clue was missing.
The new hose is simple but I want to be careful that they've made a thourough check all round the car for other nibbles.
Cheers,
N
