Oh and Paul (W)...if you read this thread ever so carefully, you will see that I don't claim to have suggested Kevlar at all!! As for the testing - many of the incursions into Concorde's fuel tanks have been caused by small pieces of metal (bits of undercarriage and water deflectors etc) a fact I am surprised you don't know being such an avid reader of the pprune forum....
