Annoying PS2 sales
#31
Cem,
I will definitely be getting GT3 and I am hoping its out on the next official PS2 release date.
Formula 1 is out before crimbo and looks like a worthy title.
I am desperate for a decent racer.
Mark.

I ordered a PSX2 early Sept with promise 'in writing' that I'll have it before Xmas - still no sign.
In the meantime I bought a chipped US Dreamcast which I've got to say has blown me away with the graphcis quality and HUGE range of games - 2 things the PSX2 can't offer yet. I really can't stress how impressed I've been with the machine.
Looking at the launch line-up and the dire PAL conversions I'll be selling my PSX2 immediately unopened as soon as I get it.
I'll then wait til March and buy a US import (imports run 17.5% quicker/smoother) and get GT3 and ISS Pro Evo (best footy game on the planet, not to be confused with ISS already out on PS2 which is a $hit version written by the N64 team)
Just my 2 cents on it.

DV,
The speed difference used to be the case years ago, but most games on either the PSX2 or Dreamcast have the 60hz option. Which obviously means that full screen and speed is now available (as long as you have an RGB equipped tv!).

Sunil,
If its RGB scart compliant.....then you are all right.
I have a 33" Toshiba as well, which is both RGB compliant as well as taking in AV multi-standard!
I dont get any problems at all (as I shouldnt, with an RGB compatiable TV).
I have always ran everything through RGB (if its been available), each import console I have runs perfectly.
Dont understand why you get lipsync problems......must be the shoddy conversion used?????
Remember that an RGB feed is direct to the tube, so multi-standard issues are not a factor!

Shaun, cheers for clearing that up, must be the shoddy UK spec PS2 that is causing the problem then. Anyone else with RR2 notice this?
Now please excuse me whilst i shove a turd in Bajies mouth, followed by my size 10 just to help him digest it
