I find the focusing on the D60 in low light to be pretty poor - my old EOS 10 was way quicker. What lenses are you using?

I've been looking for an IBM microdrive 1GB for my Dimage for a while now. Does anyone know where they are cheapest. They seem to have disappeared from that Scan site.

Ah - I'm usually using a 550EX flash when it's very dark - so I guess that's kind of cheating.

I've currently got a 35-135 f4-5.6, but will probably upgrade to a 28-135 IS soon.

I also bought a 35-350 L series from Puff yesterday - great lens, but bloody heavy !!!

Do post an example or two - I don't know many people who have the 35-350. I gather it's usually bought by news and sports photographers who need to zoom quickly over a very wide range, and they don't often make their digital files publicly available

I ordered a new microdrive from scan on friday (after seeing the link on here -thanx chaps!) and got a conformation so worth asking. def the cheapest i've seen them.

On the low lite focusing, i agree with the Speedlite its fine, its when i'm outside in dim lite with moving subjects i find the problem.

I use a Tamron 28-105 f2.8 which helps a bit as its max apparature is so good. Nice lens for the money too, very sharp!

I'll post some piccies once I've taken some I'm not too embarassed about

The only thing that concerns me for this time of year is the max aperture - I'm out playing on Thursday, but I'm worried it will be too dark

Where abouts are you Andy ? You're more than welcome to have a go if you like - I'm in Peterborough.

I got a fast 512 CF card (Sandisk ultra) from Value Media in the end. Cost slightly less than the 1Gb microdrive from Scan but I feel happier with no moving parts

S55: Thanks for the offer, much appreciated. Sadly you're a bit out of my way (I'm in Bucks, with occasional trips to Cambridge) for me to try it myself.

I also have the 100-400L already, so I think Mrs C would be unimpressed if I went and bought yet another lens

A.
