I just remembered the fitness instructor saying "he is average, no below average fitness. It gives us something to work with."

The the five mile run he was given when he annoyed one of the mentors, again!

He was just so terrible and arrogant the amount of time I wanted to throw something at the screen was incredible.

Such a complete d1ck.

I hate this bloke

When he locked up the wheels and span off through braking too late on the test track on one of the corners his excuse was....

'I was just tryin something out............'

He thought he knew some secret stuff that race driving pros hadn't thought of........ FFS If someone told me how to take a corner that obviously knows what they are talking about then I would do it...

And what about trying to tell that woman mentor she knew FA...

YOU ARE A WEAPON

It is the first time I can remember the mentors actually willing the judges to spot the faker.

How bad must the person that was overtaken by this div feel!

That's a good point! I'm sure whoever was overtaken will be thinking about retiring now!

Lets hope he's not on this BB!

Would have loved to have been the mechanic working on his car

<mechanic thinking mode on>
Oh dear, there seems to be a chronic fuel leak, that throttle appears to be jamming open all the time and 'oh no' all the brake hoses are severed.... never mind, I'll fix it after the race, heh heh
<>

Does anyone on the board know this Phil Dean ****.....think how cool it would be to get him to start posting on here

He could take custody of Saxo Boy's flame suit

Now I do not profess to being any good at all at racing/track days or driving in general, but when I have had tuition I listen to every thing they say, and funnily enough some of it sticks in my grey matter and I improve.

I just cannot understand him at all

The funniest part was when they interviewed him. The other guys gave short answers, he was saying the story of his life. Did you heard how he described the engine components??

And Knobber Goes To......

Daveyboy,
I think he is a classic example of "I'm great becuase I live at hom with my Mum, Dad and Sister, play computer games all day and night. If I am good at GT3 that must be the same as being good at driving.".

He is just too sure of himself and far too arrogant to live in the real world.

Did you notice all the driving they showed him doing on the computer games actually involved crashing? Even down to GTA "Wasted" when he crashed the Police car? Looking back on it that should have been a big clue to the outcome of the show.

I think if any of us had been given the cace he had we would have tried our hardest and sweated blood to show that it could be done.

He is just a tragic loser that learnt nothing from the experiance, after all there is nothing he doesn't already know!

DB - Well yeah the fitness would have hurt but, I would like to think most people here would have made the effort and tried harder learn how to drive a race car.

Seems like we would all have made an effort, but then would that have made for such good viewing?

I like the chance to shout at the tv now and again

Coincidence he resembled another ar$e, Eddie Irvine?

Mike.

LOL. I agree it was good viewing, but i can totally understand one of the mentors wanting to lamo him. I felt so embarrased and frustrated just watching it. He made the mentors look like a complete fool and amatuers.

If a racing pro tells me to take a certain line thru a corner which he knows is the quickest, you do exactly that. You don't consult your secret 'Driving skills by Yoda' book and "try something out."

Soooo funny.
They interviewed one of the Rockingham Instructors on R:SE this morning (the one that said T0sser all the time). Phil "bell end" Dean chickened out and didn't turn up.
Sad, sad Wayne Kerr

If it's any help tracking him down, there was a big Max Payne cardboard cut-out in his office.

woahahahahahahaha check this out from ch4 site
Phil Deane, Games Tester to Racing Driver

I don't think I have changed at all. Maybe I take a bit more notice of motorsport, but I was always a big fan. I've got a motorsport licence out of it, so that is something. I would like to continue with motorsport, but it is a money thing. To do a season of Renault racing would cost about £30,000. As part of the Faking It training, they taught me how to get sponsorship. I have already approached three companies in Lincoln, but they all are waiting to see the programme before they commit.

Doing Faking It hasn't made me think differently. From what I have heard, I come across as arrogant in the film, so when I see it, maybe I'll take a step back. But I think that I'm a good listener.
pmsl yes we'd like 2 sponsor u sir u clearly have talent! As if

Bet he is fun to work with..!!!!!

It's a shame that someome like that get a chance in million and blows it, whilst Pete-UK99 misses out.. I believe that channel four were looking prize pr*tt to help boast their ratings and publicity..!! How many other car forums are doing the same as us..

That's enough for now..!!
