Ok the Twin Turbo meet is tomorrow for those who have may forgot.
Looking forward to meeting all the peeps on the posts, and hopfully some nice Legacys.
Things to discuss in the pub over lunch may include;
How can I get more power from my TT?
What do we do at next meet?
Is it worth all the hassle running a Twin Turbo Legacy which no body knows anything about, including the so called experts?
I am certain I have seen a post where the MD of IM is running a Twin Turbo, so why can't we get some official support for this amazing car? (Lets face it an Audi S/RS Avant is a joke at 40/50k)?

see you later dudes
Tim

Cool

Thanks for the meet guys - sorry I only stayed half an hour - went back home to get some dinner and STILL (7 hrs later) getting the PC back together .....

Jonto - what time did you get there ? -

After I left, I saw a nice red WRX heading that way, so I followed, but he just went straight on.. So I went home ...

Nice to see you all anyhow,

Mark

Nice to meet everyone yesterday + great pub food and sunshine as a bonus.

Particularly enjoyed the fact that every time the dark blue ferrari 360 drove past (3 times) no-one even looked up - however the boxer beat raised heads every time ;-)

I will be organising a rolling road day at Prosport in Stockport very soon so hope to see you all up there in the future.

Looks like you all had a great day, some nice pics too, sorry I could not make it the beast died on me on friday afternoon with no boost/acceleration and check engine light glowing away, took to the garage on saturday and put it on the select monitor it came up with three codes, the first was code32 O2 sensor, second two stage twin turbo(s)and the third was two stage twin turbo(t), if that makes any sense. The O2 sensor has come up twice now in two weeks, the only other thing that has been different in the last week was that I had to use super market 97sul ( I know, I know its not the best stuff but it was an emergency) and not the usual diet of Optimax, the garage are in the process of getting me a new O2 sensor which nobody seems to have in the UK, is being brought over from the Land of The Rising Sun just the 2-3 weeks then!! all the vacuum pipes have been checked and all appear to be ok no loose conections, splits, etc.
I am so gutted I missed the day out, but hopfully another meeting can be arranged for later in the year. If any of you guys with some more experience of these cars have any other ideas then please feel free to jump in.
By the way the my car is a MY00 GT-B Etune auto/tiptronic, with 17k miles on the clock.

Cheers,
Simon

Paul (pwebb), any idea when for the Prosport RR day? Hopefully not too soon as I've still a bit to do on my BG5.

Your Graystone B4 looks very classy!

Duncan -
I spoke to Peter C at Prosport and he is willing to run this on a saturday or sunday at £35 per car - this would include a power run + any necessary diagnostics (though naturally if any problems are evident then that would involve extra work/cost and may not be possible on the day) . This would hopefully represent good value and be a bit better than just the 'shootout' style quick power runs that seem to be the norm elsewhere. The bosch RR at prosport is brand new, very capable and can do more than just straight power runs - be prepared for it being less flattering than less accurate systems elsewhere though (where BHP at the flywheel is calculated through add-on software) Hopefully I will be running my own car very soon to get a feel for some bechmark figures on an unmodified car.

I will do a bit of researching of other threads so that this does not clash with other organised meets on the same day and post a couple of options so people can respond with their interest/suggestions. Please feel free to suggest dates in the interim.

I was also thinking of extending the invitation to the Lancer group too as they often bemoan the lack of a decent rolling road up north and haven't discovered prosport yet

regards,

Paul W

Paul,
I think I may have passed you a few times on the road from the A50 that goes to Ashbourne. Was it you? I've seen your Website (cool)and would like to have a look at your Legacy. You've put a lot of work into her. I travel upto Carsington for the windsurfing when I can.
Cheers Tim

P.S. Your names have been added to the list, Paul & Rafique
That makes around 20 at the moment.

Blow

It could well be me on the A515 (A50 to Buxton via Ashbourne) as I live in Buxton and drive the A515 regularly.

I would be upset if you have passed me as i don't remember anyone passing me ;-)

Paul

Been to finalise the details for the Twin Turbo meet on the 2nd
March (Sunday)

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=391610&y=332625&z=3&sv=391500,332500& st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

Well that,s the location if any one post it as a link it would be helpful.

Its the Three Crowns in Little Stoke, just south of Stone on the A34 in Staffs.

Coming from the North leave M6 at J15 & get onto A34 south
From the south leave M6 at J14 and head North on A34

When you get to the roundabout at the bottom of Stone (Walton Business Park) take the A51 to Rugely, then take second left, Three Crowns just on the right few hundred yards.

If you need more directions please e-mail off the BBS and I'll send details.

There will be a parking area marked off for the meeting and the meet starts from 1200. The pub is very friendly and do meals if you want to eat please give me some idea of how many in your party and I can let them know. Although its not a problem if you change your mind.

Can you now please let me know if there are any changes to the list as posted above, and those with a ? can you confirm either way.

Looking forward to meeting everyone in a few weeks
Cheers Tim
