Type R/Jason,
The Honda Integra is the only car I've been consistant with and is constantly on my list!!
If the car is a T-reg or newer (March 1999 on) then it will be considered, purely as it's only car in the list that is in my price range that will allow me to use my personalised number plate!!

The RX7 really is a very nice car, but what puts me off is the engine rebuild (or replacement?) at 80 k miles. How much would that cost? Apart from that I'd definitely recommend it above all the other cars mentioned so far given you don't need 4 seats, especially for it's looks and exclusivity. Don't forget though, it is a high powered rear drive car like the MR2 turbo albeit a better gripping and handling one. Pity the Honda NSX doesn't fall into your price band...

Just bought a V Reg 2000. 200SX. 23,000 miles on the clock, touring pack, still under warrantee. Dumped the cats and put on a blitz, had a unichip and put a boost controller on it. All for under £10,000. Now how do I stop these back wheels spinning. Been out with the SW Scooby lads and really having fun with it.J Will be going over exmoor with the lads again next month.

The owner will contact you.
Low down torque is not a problem trust me, my car is worse than the ITR, yet never had any problems keeping up with the Scoobs.
Gets right on my nelly people slate the ITR/S2000 for its so called appalling low end torque. Drive one folks you will be surprised. What you guys call low end when your thrashing your cars, how often do you use 3000 revs?
OK it hasnt got the torque of a turbo'd car, but hey you don't have half the cost either, but twice the fun.

Hi Andy, if you want a lazy cruiser that is reputed to be capable of 190mph after a few mods. Try a Toyota Soarer 2.5 twin turbo LTD, most of them come loaded to the hilt with electric gizmos and 280 bhp as standard
Or perhaps even a nice R32 Skyline which is reputed to be the more raw/involving experiance and so the most rewarding of the Skyline range to drive.
Although these car types may be bigger than what you are looking for, they still pack a punch and might be worth a look.

Still looking for an RX7?
Just saw that my local Mazda dealer still has an M plate UK in. It's been there for some time. Seems a shame to leave it on a forecourt. I think they'd take a lowish offer on it, as high performance Jap cars really don't sell well where I live. Mail me if you want me to have a closer look.

Thanks guys, more foood for thought!
My old boss use to have a Soaror and it was an incredibly quick car. If I were to buy something that big, personally I'd go for a Skyline, although I don't think my wallet would cope with the running costs!!

If you weren't spending it on servicing you'd be spending it on tuning...
A 2.6 turbo is cheaper to tune per bhp than a 2.0 turbo
If you definitely want a little car, the Nissan March Super Turbo is a statement all its own... 1.1 forced induction in a micra. It'd probably be the only one on the country too

Erm... they are. Most if not all "kei" class 600cc japanese cars are 600cc turbo's. This includes the Suzuki Wagon R.
So, stick a 3" Blitz on it and weld the wastegate shut...
Derek
PS, the March Super Turbo was 180ish bhp as standard I think, damn quick for a Micra...

Been looking at 200SXs and they are really cheap!!
A 1999 one with lowish mileage going for £7-7.5k!!!
I get to retain my private plate and still have a turbo!!!
Still undecided as a mate use to have one and spun it on a dampish road, apparently he wasn't doing anything silly. Luckily no damage, except for his pants!!!
Maybe a Racelogic traction control unit as well!!
