Yeah, Gaz's from CPP
The Cossie has been sold, bought and paid for BUT the new owner still hasn't been in touch and that was 3 weeks ago......
It's going to a very nice chap called Rich who's an RS BBS'er and already has an Escort Cossie....I'll give him 3 trackdays and I bet he'll have it back up for sale..........it's a very lively beast.....sideways everywhere at circa 120 mph starts to get a little tedious

That evo certainly shifts, and from what i read somewhere its still on standard suspension!!!!! But isnt it an RS Sprint version, i witnessed it exiting knickerbrook at oulton the other week, bit of rear end slide and huge bang and 3 foot flame....superb.....
Are you thinking of an evo next?????

The car is indeed an RS Sprint....I think when you saw it at Oulton 3 weeks ago it was on a std ECU...it is now back on Autronics and is even quicker....when I had my 4x4 Cossie (trackcar before this 2WD one) there was nothing between us going around Oulton....when we were at Donno Gaz in his with Autronics and me in the 2WD Cossie I was much quicker but he was always there or there abouts in the corners....
Not thinking of going down any route at the mo as I fancy some time out from Track days for the next 12 months which is why I bought a new M3 Cab to make me behave
Tomorrow SHOULD be my last for a while....

I was in the white EVO RS that belongs to a good mate of mine, he allowed me to car share with him for the day....I wished we'd all met up Dave I presume that was your 4x4 Cossie out on track ?
I've replied in the general Donnington thread with my thoughts on the day
Regards
Chris

Cheeers Jon for coming out with us on my first time, and let us sit in with you
Even the instructor chickened out ........well after he told me the tyres were crap, they were at the wrong pressure and he happily commented on the complete lack of grip
Bit awesome as there seemed to be a lot of cars out there, and a lot of offs
Still, lots of fun tho!

Peggy,
I saw you
I was in the white 205. I didnt get out till after 2.30 as I was waiting to go out with an instructor. They were too busy dealing with the offs! Including a grey 205 that ended in the tyre wall.
I did try to pull over as much as poss for faster people, ie nearly all the time as it seemed so crowded. Bit frustrating at times when I needed to get back on a better line for an up coming corner, but still fun for my first track day and with the set up I had. Came back wishing I had braked later etc, etc as you do
Wish I could have done it in my old WRX RA, still its cheaper to repair the Pug than the Scoob if it goes pear shaped
Did have a problem with an aggressive mini cooper driver I am sorry to say. I would have had words with him afterwards if I had seen him.
Are you planning to go on any more?

Scoobabe,
I had given up by then, a its a long drive back to Southampton in the rain
I was very impressed with the day and the standard of driving was on the whole pretty good. I did have all my lights on so most people got out of the way pretty quickly when i appeared in thier mirrors.
However i was VERY annoyed with the standard of driving from some of the race cars out there. In one incident i was almost forced onto the grass on the start finish straight by a 924Porker who obviously had no mirrors fitted to his car
until the next time!!! when?? as soon as the weather gets a bit better, and i can get some slicks on my car.
