Well my Exhaust hasnt arrived so no can do, but my mate is going in a black CTR.

I think a straight pipe from Manifold back would be a tad noisey for Donnigton , shame as the weather looks OK aswell.

Have Fun, may try to make the 29th.

Guys, where is Donnington? Too many options on Streetmap.co.uk!

I take it there is no noise issue with a Scoobysport type full exhaust system?

Noise limit is 105 db's....absolutely no problem at all with any after market scoob exhausts....we had our National Day there back in summer and all was

Donnington is circa Jnc 23 of the M1 motorway......Castle Donnington to be precise, NOT the Donnington listed near Telford

I'm now contemplating coming to this weekends event instead of Oulton again on Saturday

have heard that there is no need to book up for donnington days as the person at the circuit, (jane i think) says that there is no limit of cars on the day, if a large number turn up they will then run it in sessions.....

Just thought youd like to know....

so far 30 places booked

A lot of people turned up and paid on the day this sunday.

I was amazed when about half a dozen cars turned up midway through the afternoon!

I was in the blue-black STi7.

Sorry I didn't say hello, I was trying to speak with all the Scooby owners there

Think I might have got confused because there was another blue car there all day (a glorious Type RA).

Donnington is on this sunday isnt it? Can you definately turn up at midday and pay half the price? Or was this just a one off deal with the organisers....?

Cheers

Hope to be there midday sunday if this is the case.

sti 4 you will need a helmet drivers licence tyre presures should be 40lb and oil level near to max but not over max

check your brake pads make sure you have some decent life in them if not take some new ones or replace the set before you go they will scrub in on your first session out there as long as you dont go bonkers first ime out

also 6or7 laps at a time and 1 cooling down lap for tyres and engine and turbo

also as you will be a beginner if you see a faster car come up behind you pull to the right and let them overtake on the left

and most of all enjoy

right, better get on the blower to TSL and get another set of ds2500s then, Bodyshop said my car is ready to be collected on thursday so that gives me a couple of days to get the car checked over and serviced. Is there an extra charge for an additional driver/passenger. Better let the insurance co know as well.

I know it sounds silly but you don't need a clean license do you

Nope, you don't need a clean license. I suspect you do need a valid license though

My advice to a newbee would be concentrate on your own driving and not on the others around you too much. The most common time for a 'moment' is when you loose concentration watching somebody in your mirror or up ahead.

And if you feel yourself getting tired, pit

Thumbs up

Best advise to a "newby" is to go out as a passenger with a more experienced person and watch, ask, listen and learn.

No doubt there will also be instructors in attendance for you to ask for advice.... so DO NOT GO OUT until either of the above is taken advantage of....IMHO of course
