26 is nothing particually bad mate. One of my mates is 45 and goes to hardcore nights. Dances non stop too.
Have to say though, I agree with the commercialisation of the scene. Yes it does bring more poeple into it, but its hardcore only in the loosest sense of the word.
However, the scene is still very much alive and constantly getting stronger. New tunes and innovations come out on a weekly basis. For example, DJ Sharkey is also MC Sharkey, Until last weekend at CODE where he DJ'd with Kevin Energy for an hour and MC'd whilst he was on the decks.
Respect as they say, is due.
