Lol @ Catflap.....your motor sounds awesome mate
The Cossie is indeed a handfull to the point of my not being able to get it's power down due to the spinning of wheels all the way through to 4th inclusive (forget 5th...I run out of track )
Anyway, I'm glad you all enjoyed it....these Track Action days are superb value for money....not too many cars and great etiquette from all on track.
Have a good Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
Keep safe
Chris

Quote I passed that white evo, the 400bhp+ one, its was easy (so what if he was on his cool down lap I still passed him
I don't suppose thats my evo your talking about ? 400+ !!! i wish,
Yep i had a great day another well organised day by track action. And me best mate MELLOWS last track day !! will i ever enjoy another track day with out his humour and awsome driving ? i doubt i will have the same level of fun ever again. It was good to see so many scoobynetter's there, and ive not heard one complaint about driving standards (so its not true what the MLR guys say about scooby drivers ) so i hope to see you all again soon and we can all leave MELLOW to grow old and grey.

Would have loved to have had a ride in the evo gaz, Jase said it was awesome, and it looked so fast on track
LOL the 400+bhp thing; its the standard figure i get quoted around here when people are talking about their mates evo or scooby (when they own a saxo with blue neon washer lights and slammin 20inch wheels)
I recon mello will be back on track, (hope he will anyway) good luck to you mate

Hi cat flap ive never put it on the rollers since i built her as im not a big fan of the rollers, i prefere to judge my cars and customers cars by how well they go in the real world. I would say that the car has around 350-360 bhp. May be one day it will make 400 but i need to get the suspension right first as it still has the standard shocks and springs on. cheers gaz

A Top day. The standard of driving was pretty good on the whole, I had no problems all day, except a few minor trips across the grass as it was my first time at Oulton.
Gaz, your EVO looked fantastic on the track, for standard suspension, you didn't seem to be struggling too much to me... Mellows cossie was awesome too, and mostly sideways exiting the corners... shame about the guy in the white scoob, that corner was lethal early on, I didn't even try pushing it round there until well into the afternoon.
First time I've taken the GTR on track, and it's great except for the brakes, I had some Mintex pads on there a month ago, and came home on the metal plates, not impressed. Time for a brake upgrade...

Si give me a ring on 07799 - 881188
There's a distributor near me who can supply discs, pads, etc....of fast road quality for low money....most Northern main Subaru dealers buy from this place so it's pretty top secret
323GTR..... I was trying to work out exactly what model it was....it certainly didn't hang about yesterday, you looke to be having a full day, you were always out on track

Managed over 100 miles on track (had to refuel at lunch time :O), car ran sweet all day except the brakes - no pads left to drive home on! I'll definitely be doing another day there in the new year , just looking at the options to sort the brakes at the moment.

Madgord were you at the same track day as the rest of us, or just to busy reading max power to understand that not everyone has some thing to prove ? unless of course its a clio 1.4.
Ill get some neon washer lights, they will make me go faster....

cat, its funny how these jokers turnup with very low post counts & no e-mail address, er, me thinks he's got wrist ache & is having a rest with the old "nova's take over the world!!" plan. hehe
n0bheads log, 18 dec 2002 plan b comes into action;
fill the boot full of plastic explosive, channeled through a dustbin (cleverly disguised as a Peco big bore 36") , it will be fast, for about 1/2 a second, BOOM!

First lot of photos up from the trackday at the site with no name yet
Please enjoy Feedback welcome, esp. if something doesn't work.
More to come soon. Apologies for any slowness, I'm having to leech some space because I've run out. Look for a proper domain name and decent web space in the new year.
If anyone wants any high-res copies of any of the photos, let me know, I'm happy to email one or two off if needed, just let me know which ones and what size.
I take it that it wasn't your 323 in the gravel just after lunch then 323GTR?? I've got a photo of that one sitting in the trap, will uploaded it if a big enough bribe comes my way.....
The nice white sti RA makes an appearance in two photos, the second of which was 150 yards and 2 seconds before it lost its looks. And no, I didn't take any photos of the aftermath, before anyone asks.
Anyays, top day out, I have yet again bored everyone within earshot of what a fantastic experience just being there can be.
Roll on March.....
Cheers
Dave

Dave_A, that was my mate Ed's 323 that had a nice trip into the kitty litter, we were both using the same brake pads, which don't seem very well suited for track use in hindsight! Luckily I spotted that mine were screwed and came off, Ed wasn't quite so lucky...
No harm done to the car though, just full of gravel and pulled a tyre off the rim, easily sorted later on. It would be great if you could either email me the pic or post it on the site, the 323 owners club would love to see it I'm sure

323 in gravel now up on the front page.
No more updates are going to occur to the site now until my new domain is propogated, and I've uploaded the full content to the new webspace. Most likely to be over this weekend.
Stay tuned for details.
Cheers
