I assume that all memberships will be extended to run for one year from the date we finally receive our mrmbership packs? so far Ive paid £25 for a "Plus Member" icon under my name....

That's not true. All of your membership benefits are available to you now. The only thing you don't have is a plastic card, a ckey ring and some stickers. All of the discounts are available to you from the moment you are signed up.
And, yes, as already stated, the membership year will begin when the packs are sent out.
