The spec of my cars engine has been posted before it is a tried and tested way of producing 500bhp plus but is run at around 400 brake on the road. It will decimate your car darren I expect my standard RS focus will when it arrives too.

Cossie, come on post the pictures of this 500 bhp monster, I (and others) would love to see it, word of warning about big BHP Cosworths (well any Cosworth), basically dont crash it like the poor sod who stuffed his near my house, reputedly over 300 bhp and he got it very wrong and ended up very dead, you see the bodyshell of a Sierra isnt very strong in a crash being as its twenty year old technology not designed to cope with 500 bhp, Ford were criticised for releasing the 204 bhp original to the general public as it was too powerful and a few people killed themselves in the original 3 doors (which I loved then and still do), back in those days it seemed that mainly enthusiasts and proffessinal types got hold of them, scares me to think that someone as obviously aggressive as yourself has access to a machine of such power, if indeed you are not a 14 year old spotty virgin trying to

With all due respect, that is total bollox. Granted the touring cars were seam welded, but they ran 500bhp no problems. I've been in plenty of 500 brake cossies, and they have no trouble in taking the power whatsoever. In fact the sapphire shape is actually more rigid than the 3dr due to the extra rigidity built in via the c pillar and rear bulkhead.
With 500 brake the body doesn't fall apart (not all of em anyway), and as long as diffs, clutch, and gearbox (4wd) are uprated to cope, then the car is as solid as a rock on a decent suspension setup. If you put 500 brake into a sierra on standard suspension/brakes etc, you need shooting, so I don't think that applies.....

Strange if I am the one spouting rubbish that every point I have made on this post is a proven fact.
So far we have had coleslaw spouting utter nonsense about power to weight ratios and the HKS Skyline.
FACT the RS Focus will blitz a scoob you all keep telling me that its the track that counts and the Focus will nuke both a WRX and STi as repeatedly proven if you don't like the fact then fock you take it up with Ford Motor company or complain to Subaru or something.

I have been on a track in a Focus RS and thought it was dull.Just thought i would provide an opinion based on some actual experiences of the car rather than having a tug over What Car.
But unfortunatley it probably is faster than a standrad Impreza because of the brakes and diff,so fecking what,its still dull.

I can promise you I do own a very very well sorted cossie it is being fettled further at present and I am deciding whether to have a sequential transmission added I will also have an RS Focus at the beginning of April 2003 Its all paid for allready so have been able to obtain one slightly quicker. Whats your problem. You keep telling me cossies are ****e I tell you scoob's are ****e do you only ever want to hear what you want.
You all know the RS Focus is a far better proposition than any scoob but carry on and kid yourselves. I have done research into the car and from what I can ascertain the diff problem seems to be totally overhyped. Have a look at what cars predicted residuals for the RS then weep.
