No assylum seekers where I live but they still come down to visit, rob us, and attempt to steal my Impreza [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] (seriously). Luckily they have since been apprehended and will be appearing in court soon.
I am not so stupid that I think a) all assylum seekers behave in this manner b) they are responsible for all the crime in this country.
It's the illegal immigrants which I have a problem with, why not send them straight back through the channel tunnel? If they are genuine they should be allowed in - so why are they trying to come in illegaly
. I stand to be corrected as I don't know the procedure of the immigration system...
Genuine assylum seekers welcomed but why don't the government make them work for the privilege of a better standard of living? Send them out to clean up the streets/graffiti etc. rather than giving them a free ride.

We have a huge community of asylum seekers in Hull. About 3 -4 years ago 500 single men were "housed" in Hull and it's kept growing. All 500 have criminal records. Why were no women and children brought over? The number of rape cases, teenage girls running off with them, and fights in pubs has increased dramatically. The police can do nothing, and the local daily mail cannot even report half the things they do. We are now supplying them with cars and mobile 'phones "to help them get employment". They have their own queue at the main post office to collect their money/vouchers. Last week I was warned that the latest thing is that they are using their cars as illegal taxis. Illegal 'cos they don't have insurance/tax or are registered to do this kind of work.
I know I'll get slated by someone. It's all true, I even have first hand experience of them hanging around cash machines in groups, staring you out and generally scaring the $hite our of you.
Yes I agree that the conditions in their own countries are terrible, but we fail to even look after our own people, old people terrified to put their heating on 'cos they can't afford it, policing down to a minimum 'cos we can't afford to put anymore on the beat. But we can afford to give these people money, cars and mobile 'phones.

Just cos he has a good job etc,

Davyboy, all i would say, is that if asylum seekers and/or illegal immigrants haven't affected you, then count yourself lucky.
If anyone would care to post of a positive impact these groups have made to their lives, i for one would be happy to hear it.

Re Jamie McDonald's post/....there is no 'legal' way of claiming asylum untill you have actually entered the county,..hence 99.9% of asylum seekers(bart the ones that came as visitors/diplomats) are by definition illegal immigrants......just thought I'd add taht to clear that point

Davyboy - Come to Hull and experience what they do. They trashed a pub completely 'cos they got thrown out for harassing women!
Where you live do you have any? Is your local library going to be closed so it can be turned into flats for more ayslum seakers? Is your wife/partner too scared to use cash points in the centre of town during the DAY 'cos they intimidate women so much?
They have no respect for women in their own country and expect to get away with it over here.

I live in the vacinity of Croydon (which as you may know is where the UK Home office is - JOY!!!)
Anyway, a couple of 'travellers' from eastern europe decided it would be fun to start stealing shoes from Clarks in the Whitgift centre. After stealing the shoes they started throwing them off the balcony (Clarks being ground and first floor...) only to hit a friend of mine. He is scarred for life as a high heeled shoe caught him on the nose causing a large dirty rip in his face.
Needless to say, I rarely will inform an immigrant where the home office is - anyone 'white' is asked and it becomes too much of a chore.
I am all for people with a genuine case to come to the UK - many however pass through the whole of Europe just to get here - what is it with France - is it not good enough?!? They have to travel to the UK for the free healthcare, education, and the dole.
I am not impressed with the insurgence of these kind of people. I am not racist, I am realistic. The current rate of immigration cannot be supported economically.
Why are house prices going up? One guess.

It must be said..... This country is so thucking stupid for allowing 80% of these people in. It will end with violence on the streets. most of them are scum .Good lads hey....rape all your women and then leave your wifes ,sisters etc .Come over here so they can take what the hell you want.

A few houses along from me is a refugee immigrant lowlife family of scum. A week after I had moved into my home I was upstairs when one of my three boys shouts up to me with a frightened voice
DAD DAD DAD there's a man in the garden looking in the back window. I rush downstairs to find that our MP/middle classes NIMBYS local integration experiment is casing my house [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] to see what is worth nicking. I open the back door and ask him what the hell is he doing in my garden [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] he replies in broken English sorry sorry and points at my garden path saying he thought that it was a alleyway. I tell him to get the *&(& out of my garden [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] which he does after seeing what is worth nicking from his new neighbour.
Also him and his wife let there pre school kid who must be four years old and another who must be only about 18 months old play in the road on a junction and in the car park opposite the houses with no supervision at all. It wont be long until one of the thieving little gits is run over by a car and I can bet that the so called parents will be baying for the blood of the driver.
You may ask why I called there sprogs thieving little gits, the reason is that if you leave anything out on your path or in the garden without nailing it down you are guaranteed for it to end up on there front garden [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] and when the scumbags bring the kids in and find all the locals stuff on the lawn do they make the kids return it! no they bloody leave it where it is [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Also I have found my car a lot of times with dirty small child handprints all over it scratched and dented and it is pissing me off [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] They have a nice newish car even though they are not meant to be working with the female of this gang doing child minding on the side to supplement the income they get from there trained thieves and of course the state [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] which is housing them for free [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Talking of housing I find myself in the position of having to wait on the council list for some social housing due to circumstances beyond my control, I am paying the landlord an unbelievable amount to live in the smallest of hovels with a 5 year wait if I am lucky to be housed by the local authority. It really pisses me off [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] when I go into the Housing section to have some receptionist on half of what I earn looking down there nose at me! Putting my family in a lower group as these soap dodging scroungers [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] having to undergo interrogation by the DSS fraud section which reduced my wife to tears [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] because on a joint income of £40K we can not get a large enough mortgage to buy a house that is suitable.
In the meantime we are being jumped over in the waiting list by these economic migrants [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] Us who have been working all our lives paying our way to be shunned and have our integrity questioned at every opportunity by a state that cant do enough for these ******* [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] at the expense of everyone who has contributed to this society and not just landed at the port with the begging bowl out [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
It is time that the MP's did all that they can for the good of us already living in the UK and not take all the **** of Europe which they flush onto the beaches of the UK. Will the MP's do anything about the problems NO! I often wonder why the governament lets a lot of these refused asylum seekers stay...is there a sinister agenda??...say for example...."too many coloured folk...need to get rid of em....but need a reason to get rid of em.....so we'll flood country full of illegal immigrants.......this will incite people to hate foreigners......and we'll be able to kick em all out!"........ethnic cleansing (ie genocide ) comin?...........just a thought folks so dont shoot me down in flames!
