I agree that Athens-Patra ia full of speed traps but as I read the other day, police have ordered a lot of cameras (Gatsos?) and will receive them in about three months. Also they will buy about 10.000 fake cameras !!!
I have already ordered a pair of BEL 550 and a pair of laser jammer (also for my friend owning an EVO) so we will be ready for the future.
Guys, where do you live in Athens? It would be nice to meet you.

Dear Greeny,
as I understand a very large percentage of Gatsos in the UK are essentially empty grey boxes. This is the reason why your detector didn't go off. Police are free to move the equipment from box to box around the country so you can never be sure if the grey box is hot or not (unless you have a detector of course )

Yesterday I picked up a mini gatso with the Bel 550. Dimitri was right, they work on Ku band here in Greece. It was hidden behind a building wall as you approach it. The detector gave me around 50 metres of warning. I guess it was a little hard for it to pick it up earlier as the gatso was well hidden behind the wall.

Hi Geokat,

Turn them all on. That is all the frequencies on. Here they use, X,(which is for the old radar guns), K, (for radar guns and fixed speed cameras), KU, (for radar guns and mini gatso speed cameras) and laser, (laser guns). I have not seen Ka used here yet, but it may be used. Everything else is, so why not that one too. Choose a country setting you want, preferably one you probably won't go to and then turn on all frequencies manually. For Ka frequency, I have it set on wide, so I can cover all the band, to be safe.

On the Korinth - Patra road, I have come across laser and Ku radar gun.

I think to defeat laser, we should take Dimitri's (Dmel) advice and fit a laser jammer, because with laser, if you are the first car they aim at, it will be too late because they send out a narrow beam, which is hard for the detector to pick up easy.
