Toby, I finally got something first U coming up tomorrow for the Bluewater meet?
Dan, your install is very helpful, but I would suggest wiring the live into the ignition circuit as you might accidentally leave the coil switched on.
As it is an oil filled coil, it could get hot and pop the end off. Alternatively we could replace the switch for one that lights up.
Edited for Spilling mistooks

DanTheMan - as I work in Woking, I'd be very interested to see your flamer kit. If you remember, I live in Tadworth and posted a note on "was it you" earlier in the week but you said you fitted them in Sutton.

lol@Mikey----- sort of?!?
does that mean that the box with the flamer is still in the boot
btw I get flames while changing gears up -> BIIIG ones
but how shall I help it to get them while underrgearing and braking with the engine without -> press clutch - rev up couple of times to the max and let it go down ....
no time for that in fast corners
anyone?

Go on then Legacy4x4Turbo I'll answer that...
Vent
To
Atmosphere
Instead of recycling the air back into the system, it's vented to atmosphere. The ECU is expecting the air back in the system so it causes the car to run rich, increasing the likelyhood of flame-age!
If you get a whoosh from your Baileys then probably VTA...

whether you have or haven't VTA makes no difference in terms to get flames with flame kit. Well not that much anyway. what you need is dirty air coming out from your back (talking about the car ) so if you have cats on and running on the cleanest fuel available you get only a small chance if any where straight through and high octane gives you all you can get
this is how I see it and don't kill me if not
