Ford RS depreciate??? I only need to mention 'Escort' and 'Cosworth'.

Plus, as has been mentioned, the waiting lists are so long, if you decide after a month you don't like it (and I wouldn't blame you!!) then the people waiting for another 11 months will jump at the chance of buying yours for £23K!!!!

Never been in a scooby, but being a ford man - I certainly wouldn't swap a scoobie for a ford (no misprint).

Well chaps, after serious consideration I have decided against ordering one. Concerned that delivery date was pure fiction and that if I had a problem with the car they would not know how to fix it

Also worried about security/car-jacking/theft etc.

Redbullit how can you say RS's depreciate? Just look at the price's of RS Cosworths, and how old are they??? Seen a RS Focus advertised in Top Marques today wait for it... offers over £22,000 November delivery. Hmmm.

Cool

I say go for the RS, Build quality on Fords now days is as good as most of the big players including most Jap cars relative to the volume made. Never owned Ford personally but Dad has always had em and never had a problem (7 different cars). I've had more trouble with my 2 Scoobs to be honest and if you fancy a change i reckon RS would provide plenty of fun.........

A lot of issues I have already mentioned on another thread titled a different veiwpoint. A close freind gets his Focus in January and he brought it from the brochure.
I went to the launch last Year at Gaydon and raced alongside it on the track at Donnington this year.
RS Focus owners are gonna get stuffed when the Cossie version appears.
That is why I have brought a warranted WRX for the interim period and who knows I may never go back to a Ford.
Only owning and driving experience will tell.

Vanish

The RS should get stuffed by the Focus Cossie when it arrives (by which time the earlier RS's are going to be around 2 years old according to my understanding) - you'd expect it to be by a performance car that's going to cost Evo money.

Judging by how stuffed everyone else was by the Focus at Donnington (including many touting 50% extra BHP than the Focus) - there are going to be plenty of people getting far more stuffed than the RS by the Cossie!!!

We all know that fords are crap and they depreciate more than a Daewoo,so why buy one? Jap cars are the only real performance car worth going for IMHO. So just buy a Skyline or an Evo and have a car with some real power not this 220bhp FWD rubbish
WHAT! Jap cars dont depreciate? Simple supply and demand mate, they are not making many, so will fetch a premium on resale, just like the first Pumas, Type R's and Impreza's for that matter.

Jap cars are the only performance car IYHO? lol, what a lot of crap!

Isnt it funny that in Top Gear mag and show they compare the RS with a WRX. Wouldnt it be so much more funny if it was an STI.....
What would all the boy racers have to say about their favourite car?
