Russ - just a thought, if you've got the car on finance - it might be worth your while (financially) handing it back, then buying it/one again.
I also noticed that the Glass's guide prices haven't changed yet - you probably have a 2 week window of opportunity for stuffing it up some deserving Audi or BM dealer I doubt they have any idea on Scoobys other than the guide price

Hi Russ,
I seem to recall a similar situation with Audi UK also. They brought out limited edition version of the TT called a Sportline for a premium price then shortly after made all the 'extras' standard when the cars got an update.
I think it was pressure from the Sportline owners that forced Audi UK into making refunds to those affected including non-Sportline owners who had bought TT's just prior to the update. So it *can* happen!! I read all this in Autocar about 7-8 months ago.
Don't forget though, you're dealing with IM - not exactly known for their generosity these days (how times have changes, *sigh*).
Chris (trying to be constructive)

As Customers, I dont see that we can have it both ways. For at least two years loads of folks have been moaning about 'rip off' britain and how we pay over the odds for our cars (and many other things). Now it seems that manufactureres are doing something about it by reducing the cost of new vehicles, sure its tough on those who purchased before the price drop, but do you seriously expect manufacturers to advertise the fact that prices will go down on 'x'date. ...I think not. So we have to grin and bear it I'm afraid. Its all in the name of progress.

The problem I have with all this is that it stinks of knee jerk reaction to boost sales, when, if Subaru listened to their customer base, and had a little courage, they might have been A. inspired enough to create a car that doesn't reek of "We changed the lights what more do you want?", and more importantly B. Have enough belief in your own product to retain the pricing structure instead of folding it like this - it's a very weak move toward getting rid of stock, and displays no commitment to either customer base or product line - just to the mighty dollar. It's shameful. I hope you get the difference back at the very least.

When Audi dropped the price of the TT by £3K a couple of years ago, they compensated recent buyers with the full £3K (my brother was one of them). They didn't go out of their way to publicise it, but if owners contacted them and made the case, they refunded the £3K.
There was even an article in the Telegraph motoring section on it (this is what alerted my brother). Unfortunately I can't find it in their on-line archives.
