just got back from the rehersal for the RAID ive tweeked it a bit too !! 146 miles is the final run shorter than first planned but i have to keep some hidden roads back in case you dare invite me to plan another run!!

lots of water today and lots of leaves made it more interesting also discovered potholes i am actually a bad passenger for travel sickness and even though i was driving today i felt sick on some of the twistys and rollercoaster sections! and the good news is in in 88 miles of it i only encoutered 4 (yes four) other cars! its like the great one above has closed the roads for the RAID ACROSS THE BORDER ***

timing should be 3~_3.5 hours including pit stops and lunch will be served between 2 -230 pm of which i have booked a seperate room overlooking our pride and joys!!!
i will be taking orders for the food at the start of the run.
after that for anyone interested a look around our local dealers showroom.

flossy all will be revealed on the run but not Mcdonalds!!
my local and very good too scampi etc £5 so wont brake the bank and handy for M6 too.as a bonus we can ogle at the hundreds and hundreds of scoobs that will be parked outside!!

mike have you got your brakes fixed yet ?

or are you going to follow in the slow group like me!!

i think its better that the slow boys set off first as there is stops for petrol-views historical views and toilets on the route so when the faster groups catch up at the stops nobody will have to wait more than 5 minutes.

12 days to go! I'd better start cleaning the evidence of last weekends Grizedale excursions off the car now, it'll take that long to remove the mud from the wheels!

Booked the Sport in for it's 60k service with Robinson's of Rochadale £400 but get 10% discount for SIDC It's booked in for after The Raid so I can do no more than 400 miles in the next two weeks looks like I'm gonna be walking to work if I want to go to Scotland

Deep grief!!!! can't make it to the START of the "raid".

My six year old has been invited to a birthday party that morning in Carlisle to see the new Harry Potter picture.

He has the attention span of a goldfish (as have all 6 year olds) and I feel he can't go alone.

I'm 42 and this wouldn't have been a problem in 1966 but times have changed. Jamie Bulger…Sarah Payne etc….Sorry Lordy but I've got to look after the kids….
