Do you mean steering/suspension tracking or security tracking (RAC Trackster, etc) ?

Thought long and hard about a tracker, but decided to spend the money on something else as car crime so low here.

I moved from Manchester with my MR2 insurance in Manchester£800- £1200 (poor post code) and moved to carlisle and it dropped to 400 quid or so. Houise insurance the same % drop.

I spent the £500 plus yearly retention fee on tarty mods !

just to get you thinking...

LOL - buy a BFO exhaust and that why every one will notice your car when it drives by and no one will dare nick it

Just don't get the pimp tints....as an old generation member of my family once said "if you've got a flash car, you want everyone to see who is driving it"

Ab

There are some good threads on "disklocks", the spelling might not be right but at 60-70 quid they seem to slow the crims' down pretty good. I was thinking about one (small size apparantly) for my occasional visits to newcastle.

I have heard they (professional car thieves) still steal Tracked cars but park them up for a few days to see if plod get them back. If not then they assume they are not tracked.

Up here seems pretty free of these car gangs but would welcome advice from locals in the know with plod (ooops Police)

£500 plus gets a lot of other goodies.

Think i`m gonna go spend a heap on a tracker monitor and a clifford blackjax along with a disklok. Am gettin a panic on now coz me next door nieghbours house was burgled last night and if the scum saw my motor they might be back! ba5tards!
Wheels and all that game can wait, they can be saved for, and they`ll just make the car more nickable

don't leave the car keys near the letter box or on the dining room table. Lots of break-ins these days seem to be to get the prestigeous car's keys so they can drive off with it after disabling all the security

Abbylad,

If you are after a Tracker, see the ads in Autocar for RAC Trackstar. £23 (from memory) for 3 years 0% APR etc.

Nice to see you had a good time LordH, i`ll have to round the lads up and get them over there. What are the women like? Been a bit dead on here since you went.

Mark, the centre sections spot on now cheers captain. I won`t mention the delicate piece of adjusting equipment you used

Thumbs down

<START RANT> Has everyone else noticed that (on the whole) cumbrian scooby drivers are a miserable bunch of sods????? Now i know for certain that most, if not all the lads and lasses that frequent this thread would wave, flash lights etc. if you passed them, but the rest of them?????? jesus!!!! is it that hard to move one whole hand up to eye level and make some sort of waving gesture? or even just move your hand half as far to indicator stalk and pull on it (oo-err) once or twice? Hope they all got some sort of new genial/happy personality for christmas.....miserable gits! <STOP RANT>

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
