Lads,

I have www.impreza-rb5.co.uk

It's due for renewal in February. I wasn't planning on renewing, so if it's of any use to you, you can have it for nowt.

I think someone on here still has www.rb5.net

Cool

According to 'Driving Ambition' by RB, he does indeed have an RB5.

As regards my RB5, I have a 'few' mod's lined up which should happen in the next 2/3 weeks. Things can get quite out of hand when you get carried away buying this then that (My poor credit card !).

Anyway, once finished then pics will be posted in due course.

Ozzy is this site going to cost much to renew for another year? Does it include webspace and will it support flash!?

If it does cost anything then I will definately be up for giving some money towards the total cost or even pay for it myself if others arent willing to pay in!

Ok, 286 can you get me the PDF brochure to me? Have you got anyway of getting onto Mirc (internet chat application - www.mirc.com) tonight? E-mail me and let me know...if the PDF file is not to big then e-mail it, but i have a feeling that it will be to big to e-mail.

Can anyone really find out wether Richard really does have an RB5! I know we all have our views and what we've heard on if he does or not but its speculation!

Thanks

Gavin

Gavin,

It's just the domain name that's registered in my name. I simply had the domain redirect to my own website.

IIRC it only costs £9.99 to renew for 2 years.

Yeah, it has that look about it

My domain name is up for renewal on Monday 10th February 2003. Like I said, if you want to use it then it'll only cost the registration fee as I won't being renewing it myself.

Let me know what you decide to do as I'll just let it run out. Not sure if I can do anything to guarantee the domain for you guys. I suppose I could ask Nominet to transfer it to someone else and just let them renew it.

You can get 100Mb of webspace from TW, but I think they charge an extra £10 per month for the service.

well the registry thing works fine, i tested it just now and got an email with the results.

it was just a quick thing to just get set up and test. and to get the brochures online for any1's access.

although some1 may want to scan the brochure in at a higher res.

we'll have that web address so dont let it go.

i think we should start up an official RB5 club cos at the mo i dont think there is 1, well i cant find 1 if there is!!!!

Have 56k modem and looked at site - not slow at all. You did that in 5hrs?! Pretty cool!

RB5 club is a great idea.

It's amazing where this thread is leading to!

www.titanhosts.co.uk do free domain transfer in (and out) and charge hosting from £25/year - loads of folk on SN recommended them so I went there to register and build a simple site for www.CumbrianScoobs.co.uk

I would advise the current owner "pays" for the renewal and then organise the change of ownership so that the current host does not de-tag the domain. Once you have sorted that out you can then move it to your host of choice

I'm 438 - Almost at the top

Think the RB5 club is a great idea! Would like to offer my assistance with developing the web page, but I don't get enough time to do my own pages (Here)

Can still offer some techie support if required though!

Just found this quote from Richard Burns in an interview he did for Jap Performance mag Jul'01 -

"Yes, I've got RB5 001 sitting in my garage at home. But I've never actually driven it!"

Hi all

Anyone e-mail me yet as i haven't checked!? I'll have a mess around with some flash and html stuff over the weekend and see what i come up with. I think for a start we need to be keeping the RB5 Colours - Blue, Red, Steel Blue (grey) on the site and perhaps make it crisp n clear, i.e white background with minimal low quality gif's of spinning scoobys

I have an idea of the site in my mind and will ask everyone to at least have a go at it and then perhaps we can take the best from each site and put it into one really good site! The only thing i would say is that if someone on here has a way with words could they help me with my site and the content. I'm not exactly the best with words so could do with the help!

The RB5 Club idea is awesome but to have a proper club will take hard work i think. if we did somehow manage to get the full 444 as members can you imagine meetings and sorting out leaflets/booklets e-mails etc etc....This one will have to be thought through properly i think.

Edited as i forgot to mention to Ozzy that i will send you a cheuqe for £9.99 in the post mate, or if we split it say 3 ways or wotever between the people who actually want to contribute to the domain then send cheques for the required amount. What you think??

Cheers

Gav

Well, I'd be more than happy to help with both the wording for the website (use that A'level in english language that I got many moons ago!) and also setting up/running of the club etc if we are to attempt that - although I do agree that it would be something pretty difficult to do, but nothing ventured nothing gained!

Yes Definately....i was thinking around April. Give us plenty of time to try and sort this web-site out and anything else we need to. I get more money then so can spend it on my car

The club if we can pull it off would be an excellent idea. I some software for my new MAC before i can start the web-site. Done a front page in Flash MX but need help with logo's n stuff. Can i find an RB5 logo on the net....can i hell!!

So its pretty simple at the moment, until i get all the required stuff together. Might invest in swish and swift3d for some nice effects!

Hey all.

Thanks 286 for the RB5 logo its just what i need.

So now would be a good time to ask how many people would actually like to Join a club if i started one with 286? I need solid numbers as i dont like wasting time, if there aren't enough numbers theres not much point in continuing with it. Its gonna take time to sort out with newsletters and organising meets and general stuff so best to say now if you guys dont think it will work!
