In answer to the original question, no certainly not.

But my wife who drives my soon-to-be-decatted 5dr is always waved, flashed and hooted at by a bunch of sad weirdos in similar cars

She was so surprised at the amount of attention that she was getting that she advised her single best mate, who is obviously looking in the wrong places, to get herself an Impreza and wait for the offers to come flooding in...unfortunately, aforementioned friend didn't heed her advice and bought a Puma.

I see more people pointing at the car than ladies signing me their phone numbers. I keep thinking that the car has a flat tyre, on fire, or still got the local traffic warden I ran over - stuck to it.

And the ladies that are interested are too young anyway - when you say your 31, then reply 'god your same age as my dad' instantly kills any passion. Doh!!
