New shape car?

Don;t know about you but I prefer the new lights 'with the black background' (as per the rexilla pictures) over and above the WRC style lights (above) that appear to have a silvery background...

Thx Dreamweaver, mine was a bit smoother than that but I couldn't figure how to post a pic anyhow.
But gives the general idea.....anyone seen any pics from the 15:00 press release as yet? boy this internet thing is slow with the info today (usually is on the net a week before it's even been spoken or photoed ;-0 )
rexilla is still the old pics from what I saw.

Gotta say more...... The Standard car looks boring and grim IMHO it's all very well marketing the WRC but look at the difference between those two vehicles. They are a world apart.
I reckon you'll have to pay a pretty penny to get something to look vagley like that (22b ring any bells)
With a little (and i mean little) imagination, the silver road car on the rexilla page (Johns post above) the front end looks like an Omega and that design has got to be nearly 8 years old now.
The old bug eye never really grew on me but that said there are some fab examples out there and cars like MaTTELS and Grahams at TSL really do look the part, but consider the amount of money required to do that
Now they want to take on the Focus RS (or is that just the press? ) with a heavier car, that costs £2k more and well, need i go on.
VIVA the classic scoob

Classic Scoob definitely has the edge as far as aggressive looks go. The bug eye looked too much like a Hyundai for my tastes, but this one is definitely an improvement. (IMHO)

I dont think I will be rushing out to buy the blobeyed letterbox. That scoop just looks plain silly. I am not overly technical but is there likely to be any reason for it being so big - bigger intercooler or something???

The silver one above says 'US Market' to me.
Reminds me of when Hyundia (sp?) did the same to the coupe.

It looks better than the bloody awfull bug eye cars..
I still dont know how you guys kid yourselves these look ok though! - if it was such a fantastic seller why did Subaru facelift it only 2 years into it's lifecycle...
The standard WRX looks nasty - the STi looks better, the rally car looks nice!
I still think they have lost the plot with the impreza bigtime - you should see the registrations stats since the new cars came out... i think it was time for subaru to swallow the bitter pill and realise they had f*cked up bigtime with the bugeye & try to resolve it.
Did they ever have 0% on the old cars? did they hell! - 6 month waiting lists etc, you could walk into a dealership tomorrow and have a car with choice of spec and colour within 2 weeks now.
But, they are not soley to blame - Mitsubushi are just as bad with the Evo 7 & 8 - they look dull (but at least they arn't pig ugly).
I know of a multi franchise dealer who a company i work for are associated with, who are so dissapointed in subaru and thier ability to listen to dealers & customers with regard to development they are almost ready to pull the franchise because the the cars they are building are so awfull.
Says volumes when your dealer won't even support you these days...
This is all IMHO of course - sorry to offend any bug eye owners - but each to thier own eh?
Just go and buy an evo - you know they are better cars
Chris
