I don't see many scoobs when I'm out and about. Those that I see and wave at I get a fairly good response from - probably half of them wave back. I think thats really good And I drive a Sport

Things arn't so bad!

I drive a new WR blue STi in Nottingham

I am I suppose a middle aged bloke trying to get a kick back to the 80's by driving the scoob. But don't knock the oldies. I always wave, only last night I saw (in the horrendous Nottingham traffic) a red scoob classic shape no wave (young baseball cap an' all), silver - sounded quite nice, young bloke again, didn't wave. Yet the pipe smokin 50+ in a wagon waved his arm till he got RSI and a seizure to me!! Go figure, you really can't tell.

Oh and its not a company car....Its mine, and so far only has minor mods of Cat back exhaust to GroupN back box, and ITG filter. Ok so I got some gadgets ie/ the satnav, but I am old!! and my memory's not so good now.

Oh and after its warmed up, I never hang about, and drive it how its supposed to be (on private roads of course).

p.s. Anyone in Notts I drive it VERY VERY VERY slowly in the ridiculous traffic at the moment!!!!
See you crawlin' at rush hour...

Wink

Success!!!!!!

Even i was bleating on about no-one waving and not just 10 mins ago a yellow classic gave me wave near Ikea in Warrington. BIG UP M8

I am now rejuvenated and shall continue to wave until the next one. Current strike rate is about 1/10.

FYI I have MY02 WRX and i wave to all!

Pete

PS funny really, we were like two gunslingers coming toward each other, waiting for each other to wave first. So i did. The classic driver nearly hit his roof lining to wave when he saw me lift my hand respect (thats what its all about)

Salsa-King, I'm mainly round Stabbo, Beeston, Chilwell, Long Eaton but I work virtually in the City Centre and drive in every day (envioronmentally friendly as I am.....NOT!!) Interested in coming to the meet if you don't mind!! Oh and I happen to be one of those peasants who own an import. Don't wanna p*ss on any of you uk owners parade, but there's bugger all difference where the car came from in the first place!! As long as it's loved (ahh!) by it's owner, who gives a ****?!
